Strikes me as similar to GB. Force feeding a system without the players to go the whole way.

Leeds was much better in the first half. Second half wasn’t good but mostly because Forrest getting energy and clogging the field and a bit the ref.

Only Gnotto out if the front four had a good game.

That sucks...Jesse is fully back on the hot seat..and Mckennie wasn't up to the pace today.

They need something next match or Jesse is gone which would be bad for American Football.

The silver lining is that Egg will have real competition soon.

The two new guys just weren’t good, aren’t use to the system.

In McKennie I think he needs to play with Roca and Adams and not as one of that pairing.

JM isn’t the coach for the US…they need more of a practical coach instead of an idealist

I had to check my tv guide. I thought I was watching a Championship league game.
This style of play doesn't suit McKennie. Leeds fullback are like a black hole. I saw it in the pre-season and hasn't improved since.
Leeds don't have the capacity to break a back 5, they don't know what to do, and that reflects on the coaching staff.

At least McKennie has a get-out-jail card. If Leeds get relegated, he gets to go back to Juve.

So, Adams one of the best on the team, Aaronson DNP, McKennie started disappointing with turnovers early but got into the flow, Marsch not too happy with himself, probably? Disagree?

Agreed the fullbacks are terrible so many turnovers and "hopeful" long balls. Good job by the Forest manager shutting down Gnonto and clogging the middle after halftime.

Speaking of, when Leeds had a corner late in the game (80th minute on I think), what the heck was that with three Leeds players (McKennie was one of them) all lined up behind each other in a row!? How can we expect Wes to be a goal poacher n set pieces in the box when his starting position is so weird!

Player's stack formation for a corner is very common.

Small note on BA's lack of playtime:

It can be difficult to defend - can create a lot of body traffic while the attackers go to pre-determined locations and defenders covering them lose a step fighting through bodies. Understandable if it's not your favorite.

Our best hope is that the other eight teams fighting relegation continue being crap too. And yes I'm including Forest and Palace, they're actually terrible too.

Welp, didn’t work this time, and in fact, when was the last time Leeds scored a goal from a set piece?
Leeds desperately need a “new manager bounce” like Everton did in beating Arsenal. And yes, I know it won’t happen after this loss but it really needed to happen. IF a new manager comes in, he’ll barely have enough games left to save Leeds from relegation.

I’m not sure they would get one. That typically happens when I team has turned off and is playing bad compared to their talent. They actually played well in the first half just couldn’t finish several strong chances and more less gave Forrest a goal.

Why do people keep claiming he is in contention for USMNT manager? While I actually think he can be a good club manager in the right situation, his last two jobs have not ended well. US Soccer has its obvious quirks but Jesse should not really be in the conversation now.

Watched the game yesterday figuring it was really his last chance to salvage his job -- and unfortunately I as right. Wish him all the best. To be fair, the game was a bit hectic, but I would also agree with the general sentiment over the last few games that the performance overall seemed to be better than the results. OTOH - 'You are what your record says you are.' Good luck Jesse, wherever you land.

Adams and McKennie start, Aaronson on the bench.

Alright, welp, I guess I gave Marsch too much credit and they really do see Mckennie as a defensive mid and an upgrade for Roca rather than a little ball of chaos playing as the 10ish no. 8.

Maybe the coaching staff just wants to give Harrison ooooone last shot as a central attacker. I predict that it will go about as well as it has thus far.

edit: I'm an idiot, just noticed that Roca isn't on the bench and is probably injured...

Man, I feel like Leeds are about to get roasted again, Jesse or no Jesse. But I hope Wes and Tyler can do some damage.
Let's see if Bamford still plays like a toddler today, or if he was just coasting last match.

Feels like the best YA outcome is for the Yank players (including BA if and when he enters the match) to directly contribute to goals/assists for Leeds but Leeds still lose. Would show that maybe it wasn’t entirely a Marsch problem
