Good was a little worried about last week, but would have been odd for him to suddenly be out of favor without a knock.
I think the sitting out the match at Eupen was more of a squad rotation during a busy time more than anything else. The manager gambled that he could sit McKenzie against one of the weaker teams.
Not quite yet. The Belgian league does playoff format, so they could be in front by a whole lot, but the top 4 team will go into a playoff to determine the winner.
Agree. The team put out the match-day roster for that match with McKenzie in it. Then at least two sources had him starting, but he did not. Maybe he did "pick up a knock" during warm-ups. Who knows. I would assume if it was Union SG or Antwerp he would have played.
Goals are here starting at 5:45. Looks like on goal #1 there might have been a deflection that affected the shot. Not much he could have done on the 2nd goal.
Full match highlights are here, they start at 8:47. Better look at the 1st goal here on the replay. Looks like his momentum carried him away from the shot. The 2nd one he was moving to cover for the keeper and the shot went the other direction.
Genk vs Antwerp goals are up here starting at 6:25. McKenzie is in the picture for the only goal, but it was a misplay from another defender that allowed a long ball to get through.
Next match - 17 Feb 2023 Mechelen vs Genk 2:45 EST ESPN + McKenzie is in the matchday squad and should start as normal. The lead for Genk is now down to 6 points.

You could see it that way... or you could say that they stole a point by leveling in the last minute of stoppage time. The announcer consistently pointed out that Genk has had a tough time getting points at Mechelen in recent years. Bit of a bogey team for them on their home turf. But given Genk's form this season, I expected them to play better. They wasted a lot of opportunities near goal.
Agree that for whatever reason, Genk seems to play poorly against them. But with the Union SG loss to Standard, the late goal and point helps a lot.
Full highlights vs Mechelen are here. They start at 0.38. McKenzie is involved in the 1st Mechelen goal. He was beaten about 35 yards from goal on a turn that directly led to the initial shot. This happens around 2:20. Right around 4:00 is the 2nd goal. McKenzie is also involved with that one.
Next match - 25 Feb 2023 Genk vs Oostende 12:45 EST No ESPN+ Genk at home vs Oostende who is next to last and desperate for anything, but can not seem to score.
