This is one player that should of been groomed a long time ago with the senior team. I remember him being linked with Ajax not too long ago. Arguably one of the best players in MLS while he was there.

Huh? He's playing for the two time defending Libertadores champions and just played in the final of the club world cup.

May not be Europe but he's earning well in a really competitive league and on a team where he has to put in the work to play.

He meant the time he spent in MLS.

And while I do think he stayed there a year, perhaps 2 years longer than he should have, I do think he improved greatly in MLS...

Palmeiras seems to be experimenting with Atuesta's range of abilities.

In this match you'll see him filling the role he played at LAFC. The deep-lying playmaker, mainly getting the ball at the very center of the pitch, springing forward to make interceptions or when space opens up.

In the next match he's far more advanced on the field, playing on the side of a 433, but regularly coming into the area. It's in this position, a modern 8, that he broke into DIM's first team years ago. I definitely think he played better in the first match, which makes sense. But, if the seleccion moves to a 433, which I think it should, he should definitely try to develop his game here.

He also started last night's Recopa match, but I wasn't able to see it. Seems like this was a great transfer for him.

Talk about clutch - Atuesta came on as a sub to close out the Recopa and did this like a minute later!

Deserves the call up. I know it won’t happen but would love to have him in for Uribe

We should play 4-3-3 and they could play together. Something like...

    Munoz - Cuesta - Lucumi - Fabra/Yairo
    Atuesta - Barrios - Uribe
    JFQ/Sini -.Morelos - Diaz

Started and played 77 in Palmeiras win over Guarani today.

Great that he keeps getting minutes and building himself into the side.

The guy has been getting barely any minutes at all recently. But he made the most of his sub appearance today with an effortless golazo

It's super frustrating. We really need him and Alzate to play and they just aren't getting minutes...

Goal was a thing of beauty. Hope it gives him some confidence.

Yikes, the Palmeiras fans HATE Eduard. He really needs to get out of Brasil.

    But he did score yesterday.

Just 7 minutes today as a sub in Palmeiras 3-1 win over Santos.

Just a shame his agent didn't get him out of dodge this window.

Only hope is he gets minutes in the domestic league or cups once the Libertadores starts up.

Didn't even get in as a sub in Palmeiras midweek paulista game... And both the starting midfielders subbed out.

He needs to get out before the transfer window closes in Brasil. Go to Arg or back to MLS.

    Colombia needs him playing consistently.

Yeah.... That's what I am so nervous about. He is exactly what the NT needs...

But he has completely failed to win over the Palmeiras fans... the opposite, he is a big joke to them and that sucks. He is still going enough to go somewhere else and break through.

Again - didn't even get off the bench today. He has got to move before the transfer window ends in Brasil.

We can't afford midfielders falling off the map, hopefully he gets a move and some PT somewhere.
