Carlo should have started Alaba at LB and Cama with Ceballos and Fede in midfield. Tobias for Carvajal FFS. I blame him for the severe lack of Castilla integration given our thinning squad and the management's idleness for years with regards to our personnel needs. Not sure why Asensio took the PK. Should have been Vini or even Rodrygo. But my god, that was an awful stuttering shot. The guy changed his mind 3 times in a quarter of a second. Maybe we could have gotten a result tonight if the PK was scored but our problems run deeper and would have eventually cropped up in another game. This is Barcelona's Liga to lose. Way to gift Xavi his first title (supercopa) and potentially his first major trophy.
Wtf! Making that statement in public will definitely help ease Rodrygo's mental nightmares. Well done, Carlo. Given his track record, I fully expect Carlo to let Asensio take subsequent PKs (if Benz injured/Modric and Kroos benched) and say something like: "I chose Asensio because we thought about his missed PK vs Mallorca and we wanted him to get over it". Asensio pulled his last petulance stunt vs Mallorca because he didn't get to play vs his hometown side. Won't be surprised if he took the PK because he wanted to score against them. Life is funny.
Defender job is kicking vini? He would deserve the applause for containing vini without a single foul for 90 minutes. At least full points for aesthetic game against Sociedad though!
RM in last 6 Half’s scored just in one: 2nd half Vs Valencia. 0-0 1st half Vs Valencia 0-0 Vs RS (full game) 1-0 loss Vs Mallorca (full game) Carlo can’t find solutions
There's doom and gloom, and then there's realism. I appreciate optimism, but I am not delusional. Barca are not dropping 8 more points than Real Madrid by the end of the season. Mathematically possible? Sure. Is it likely? No.
🎙️| Javi Aguirre: “Maffeo asked me to sub him out because he wanted a standing ovation for fouling Viní Jr.”— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) February 5, 2023 Despicable behavior in this league. I hate every team in La Liga that behaves like this.
This is a scary stat. But the worst part is, there is no solution until Benzema is back. We have had this issue for years now, but failed miserably and sometimes willingly to resolve it.

What da hell he is speaking about? Why the team struggle not only to score goals, but also to shot on target

shambolic edit : wtf is this excuse now! 🎙| Nacho: "We knew it would be a tough game, because of the kick-off time. It's a shame." @elchiringuitotv #rmalive— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) February 5, 2023
Lmao the ref let them do as they please. Disgusting. We really need Casemiro or Ramos to put clowns like this right.
Which our club won't even make a mention about... When it comes to ESL though? We holding press conferences and giving clown shows exclusives.
Our defenders kick players. This is getting ridiculous. Vini needs to toughen up or this league ain’t for him.
When Pepe kicked Casquero did you defend him by saying players get kicked or did you criticize Pepe for the outlandish act?
We know what the response will be, the same as in the 2020/21 season when Flo gave his speech about this matter, and the league did everything it could to ensure we were robbed of a league title through BS referee calls with the final one being that stolen goal for the pen call-back on Militao vs Sevilla, to teach us a lesson about calling shit like this out. This league is corrupt, the leagues business dealings to firms like Mediapro are a bizarre conflict of interest between Barcelona and the league as has already been discussed here before, just as an example. It needs serious reform.
The whole team was bad, obviously. There's no mentality to push forward. There's no options on the bench. I've said this before, but I'm not 100% sold on Valverde. I don't think he has much passing range nor technical skill on the ball. He is the definition of a kick and rush player with a good shot. Rodrygo has the magic touch but he can't find any consistency even when he gets consistent time. Vini is being targeted yes, but the epitome of what he's regressed to is evidenced at 6:30 in this game. Control what you can control. You aren't going to change people's opinions whether that's the fans, the officials or the league. There are two options: let these terrible people win by letting them get in your head or you feed off of the animosity and let it fuel you. The first option is being chosen right now and the cause, the club and Vini himself are being swallowed up by that choice. He needs an inform attacker to play with and off of. We don't have one. I really hope Flo's gamble of being financially solvent when the market crashes will pay off.
On top of that I'd take the mentality of Pepe into this team right now. No one was hurt, he served his ban and unjust reputation for the rest of his career, but that reputation was self-serving in some instances. We had hard nosed guys that could also play. We have young kids that can play until it gets tough and uncomfortable. The old guard can't bail them out anymore and the new guys aren't there yet except for Cama imo.
