I actually went back and read the thread from the moment we won, i ve missed a lot in that moment, thats why i ve been repping old posts from you all Anyways, SOMOS CAMPEONES DEL MUNDO, i will never shut up about this
Some of the videos I continue to watch are the reaction videos during the match and penalties. Fans either lost their mind during Dibu’s save and France’s miss or they continued to sit quietly and held back their excitement until the final kick by Montiel. I was in the latter category. I did not want to get too excited until it was secured and then the joy and relief consumed me. I just do not know if this will ever be topped. How can it? The rollercoaster of this tournament. I’ve said it before, I do not enjoy these tournaments. Even though I was cautiously optimistic for us in each match, it was not an easy journey but things finally went our way. I even had to use the cuernitos during the penalties, which worked! But anyways, my emotions resembled these guys. 10mins in when it goes to PKs
I remember in 2006 & 2010, it seems like an easy ride up till the QF where our managers screwed things up. 2014 was always a narrow win in every games, so its hard to really enjoy it. This WC, its like 2002 & 2018 disasters on the verge of repeating itself , but somehow things continue to go our way. I think lots of people simply underestimate how complete our team actually is. Think about it, we have penalty specialists, a penalty stopper specialist, best dribbler & playmaker, tough defenders even the one on the bench, great backup forwards (Julian & Dybala) , a final clutch specialist (ADM), energetic midfielders who could press and constantly finding spaces (RDP, Enzo, Mac)... Now couple those things with balls of steel, you got the recipe for victory.
Leo Messi's first interview since his world cup triumph with Argentina. He speaks with Radio Urban Play
Can you imagine Argentina goes on another 10 year run of success. Oh boy, people who hate Argentina are really going to hate more.
Different angle (behind the goal) from the 123rd minute Dibu save vs Kolo Muani Holy crap! Also hadn’t realized til now seeing this video, but someone in the comments mentioned how half the France bench invaded the pitch thinking that was gonna be the winning goal
Oh yeah I had seen that video angle you posted.. bad memory But yeah tbh I haven’t really watched much of the WC again after it was over. I still haven’t seen the final again, and have barely rewatched the highlights. I think in the future going back to it it’ll be sweeter. The thing I don’t get is the whole reaction videos thing. Maybe I’m boring, but I have no interest in watching how people react to a football match. I couldn’t care less.
Yeah, I was sure we discussed the entire French players rushing onto the pitch. I saw this shortly after the final, maybe a couple days after. I’ve watched the shootouts countless times now. I’ve gone back and rewatched our matches a number of times but the entire final, I’ve gone back once. I’m still sour about it to be honest. We should’ve closed this game off with ease but no, it couldn’t be that simple. I’m not a big reaction video guy myself. I don’t watch reaction videos, I just find them a bit lame, particularly people who eat someplace for the first time, it is like who cares? But these ones for the final are something else, at least for me. You can see the emotional rollercoaster the fans went, which is something we all embodied. It just takes me back to those minutes. It wasn’t just joy, it was the relief that consumed me. The joy came when Messi hoisted the cup. But there are those videos of brazucas who are upset and you can chuckle at their anger when we win it.
Each to their own, but I'm addicted to those reaction videos, (I'm only taking about the reaction videos to the final, I don't watch that stuff when it's someone having a McDonalds ), one thing they show is the support for Argentina from all over the world, reactions in Bangladesh and Kerala were just wild.
I watched the entire match again once, I still get angry with how we threw away a 2 goal lead and then gave away a stupid penalty. And I still can't stop myself from thinking France are going to score from that last second chance, weird how the mind works.
I love to watch the Video from the spectators , thats giving different perspective all together. I think i watched the match from all different angles possible.
I've watched some reaction videos from France supporters, naturally they are going to be dissapoitned, but it was more enjoyable watching Brazil fans reactions, I enjoyed those
Anyone notice how Argentina second goal in 1986 final also came from one fluid passing move? it started from Pumpido's pass to Valdano-Maradona-Enrique-Valdano again for the goal. Its crazy that the 2022 final almost had same exact scenario , except France got their second penalty to equalize.
Received a couple of shirts from WorldSoccerShop but still awaiting the new strip shirts. I bought this from Etsy to be framed. I quite like the foil poster and embossing.
That’s quite nice! As for gear, if you have Urban Outfitters in England, they are selling Argentina’s warmup shirt; the blue and black one for 20 dollars. Quite a sweet deal.
I got the Messi mug and tee shirt from this site. We all know an Argentina fan that needs to buy this hoodie 😍🇦🇷Get yours on the link below 👇🏼 pic.twitter.com/XR2qWOghwt— All About Argentina 🛎🇦🇷 (@AlbicelesteTalk) February 4, 2023 I've also got a Maradona '86 tee shirt, but as I live in England I can't really wear it outside.
