He said he was still thinking about Rodrygo's penalty miss from the World Cup and didn't want to risk him missing another and hurting his confidence.

At least, something along those lines.

All I'm going to say is that I had little faith in Asensio converting that kick from the moment I saw his body language. He looked completely tepid.

Carlo will probably end up coaching the Brazilian NT in the summer.

I don't really blame Carlo for any of this to be hones.

He's missing a ST, RW, LB and RB.

That's lot for a team as demanding as Real Madrid.

He repeatedly said that his squad is complete and that he doesn't need new players, whether that's a PR stunt to portray unity in strategy with the board or not when the axe falls, it's his head that will roll.

He could have said "we're considering names", "it's up to the board to make those decisions" instead of being Flo's b!tch.

Here's another out-of-the-box idea: use Castilla. We have names that are a clear upgrade over Carvajal, Hazard, Mariano, Vallejo, Ordiozola, etc.

Can't expect back-to-back league titles from a coach that has managed just 5 league titles in 28 years of coaching.

Doubt he stays at the job past this season.

Carlo hasn't even attempted to give Castilla players a rub and his mismanaged the midfield enough in January when he wouldn't use the hungry players and kept relying on our tired older ones.

He is just as much to blame as Florentino.

Yeah, kinda hard to blame the coach after the whole Mbappe fiasco and the club ending both the summer and winter transfer windows empty handed.

Sure Carlo could have complained but that probably wouldn't have changed the results on the field, wouldn't have resulted in new transfers but would have ended up with negative stories coming out un the press about him and his methods ratcheting up the pressure 10 fold.

We know how the club works, Carlo knows. He's there to be the fall guy when Flo messes up like he has big time over the last 12 months.

This. Carlo has never been the big complainer type guy. If the club says no to something...he isn't the guy who would raise hell to get his way.
He needs a few more tools. No doubt about it.

Still can't find an excuse for not giving Arribas, Rodriguez (pre-engagement with Argentina U-whatever), Vinicius Tobias, Martin, Iker Bravo (pre-injury) a chance ahead of those f*cktards on the bench.

If not for their talent and skills then for their motivation and drive.

We literally had no bench today and Carlo didn't even bother calling up a replacement for injured Hazard.

The same players who couldn’t get a promotion out of the third tier of Spanish football?

We’re expecting them to come in and make a difference in a game like that?

All this Castilla nonsense is rubbish. It’s why we send these guys out on loan because it’s our league is another world to the third division

Maybe this is Carlos version of Mou playing without strikers (Benzema, Morata) as a way to put the front office on blast (after Raul was forced out and Higuian got injured).

Remember Mou playing Sahin and Essien at LB  (and claiming moving Nacho back and forth from Castlla CB and first team FB would hurt his development). Lol. Good times :(

You're thinking just like Carlo. Which is half the reason we are in this mess. Fixated on the name on the shirt instead of the effort and workrate.

It's why you're always in shambles when inferior teams with inferior players show more hunger equating to more workrate and intensity causing us problems.

Or you don't know what they are when you don't even bring them yet bring Hazard and Mariano whom you know will do and give nothing.

They aren't supposed to be world beaters. We just need energy from certain roles to help balance. I get someone like you who doesn't understand this as you think Chelsea's new transfer policy is the only way to find any success.

Eh? When did I say Chelsea’s new transfer policy is the only way to find success? I’ll wait.

On the hand of the argument, these Castilla players you want in the first team, have been struggling to get out of the third tier of Spanish football for the last three years.

Yet know you, you’ll blame Raul lol.

Deserve is a loaded word. Could you possible elaborate. They deserve to get paid. They certainly have legal rights.

I for one don't see what they've accomplished for me to assume they "deserve" to play for Real Madrid. I am a guy who has always advocated for Castilla, I just don't look at this version and see the next Raul, Dani Carvajal or Iker Casillas.

I mean a year ago we were hearing about how Miguel Gutierrez was the next big thing and how Carlo was blowing the season and making a catastrophic mistake by not integrating him into the lineup. Not a peep since, no offers from big clubs, no national team callups. Nothing.

We need to get rid of Modric and Kroos, yesterday. We need to give those numbers to Vinny and Fed. Hazard and Vallejo also need to be stripped of their numbers and given to players who will do them honor. If we are so lucky to get Haaland and Cancelo, then Benz and Carvajal need to be told to enjoy the best seats in the house.

Flo needs to man up and admit he messed up.

By the rate things are going, I'd be surprised if Carlo is still with the club next season.

    He's be Flo's fall guy.

I hope he loses it, on purpose. Just to force Flo to take ownership of the situation.

He can bring Zidane back but if Benzema’s tank is on empty with flat tires, there's nothing that can be done to fix the situation this late in the game.

    Fuera Florentino.

Ppppft. Dont even know what to say, 5 CLs in 8 years, led us.to unprecedented success, brilliantly navigates the new financial situation, is building a team where some 70% of our best players are under 25, tries as hard as he can to fight uefa and ensure the future of this club, not backing down to the shieks threats, takes nothing from the club, is the most madridista person Ive ever known and does his job with a lot of dignity. Seriously, I hope he was 50 again and could run this club for the next 30 years. Who knows what we will get after him but my feeling is that he will be much more remembered and thanked than who ever comes next.

If like you guys are saying we wont upgrade much in the summer whats the point of keeping him around if he isnt getring results or intigrating younger players into the team?
