This has been coming for a while now. Hopefully running at tired defenders for 20-30 minutes will help get him back in form.

Really surprised he didn't come on as sub. The alternatives had no impact today.

I actually think they missed his ability to play in tight spaces in the second half. They didn’t really miss him at all in the first half.

Things are not going well at all. Today was more of the same old Leeds problem: dominating the play between the halfway line and the box, where they spend 90 minutes huffing and puffing but never quite blowing the house down. It's a results business and if things don't change soon damn quickly there'll have to be a new coach.

Well it didn't work out how anyone wanted. I think what is unfortunate for Aaronson, even more than his recent poor form is this injury he now has. He won't be able to really go all out for the new coach and that could put him behind the curve. (assuming he will be limited for a while which I assume he must be?)

That being said I don't think it's all doom and gloom. He got a ton of minutes this year and knows what he needs to work on. He's going to need to grow and reinvent himself in some ways but it could be a lot worse.

I actually think this could be good for him in the long run. Marsch wanted running and madness. A new coach will I'm sure appreciate the effort, but also not overburden him with playmaking responsibilities in the middle, and as long as he is getting minutes even off the bench and learning some nuance to his game, as I said, could be good in the long run.

I blame Marsch for not prioritizing a center forward. This is a team that could easily be mid table. But I’d take Gyasi Zardes any day over Bamford, who might be the worst starting PL player this year. He has to be, right?

SofasScore has Bamford half-way between Aaronson (a bit better) and McKennie (a bit worse), fwiw:

Yes. I laughed at Forest for picking up Chris Wood, but even as mundane a player as that is an improvement. At least he kind of, sort of feels like a center forward and occasionally scores. Bamford is atrocious.

I am kind of left feeling a lot like Leeds are where they have been for a long time. An interesting, team that can look great in the midfield and the buildup but can't score very much. They just weren't good enough yesterday. They now don't even have the fight or energy they had under Marsch. As the Guardian said yesterday, they are "in serious trouble."

Jesse never had them in the relegation zone this season.

Bamford is awful btw. Sargent, Wright, and Pepi are better than him.

They took Summerville off when Aaronson came on. They should have Summerville, Bamford and Aaronson on together. They'll need Bamford to regain his scoring form to stay up. I think there's still something off with his leg.

Bamford has scored 1 league goal this season. If Leeds rely on him to regain his scoring from, they’re going down. If he was a yank, people on here would be suggesting he commit seppuku.

No if he were a yank everyone would be explaining how his other positive qualities are totally worth not scoring.

Reps for everyone that thinks Bamford sucks. However, if he were American I would hope it would still be obvious to everyone here that he's a clod that can't hack it at this level. League One needs you, big fella!

The talk about Bamford is probably fair, although he does some decent things linking play. I feel more strongly about Harrison. Read that he was 13 of 28 passing and lost possession some crazy amount against Everton. He’s been very poor and is Brenden’s direct competition.

Frankly, lots of English players in the EPL don't deserve to be there if it was based strictly on merits and performance.
