He's playing well enough to be rescued by some Ligue 1 club if they go down.

Not good. Not good at all.

Troyes went on to lose the game, against perennial bottom feeders, Toulouse, 4-1. They were expected to lose today's game against Lyon, but losing this one was something of a 6-pointer in that it was a great chance to drag Toulouse into a relegation dogfight while escaping to mid-table themselves.

Kisnorbo has been in charge for 7 games now and has 1 win, 2 draws and 4 losses. In fairness, he's had a difficult run of games to contend with - a draw with Nantes was followed by a win against Strasbourg, but they then had Marseille (L), Lille (L), Lens (D) and now the 2 losses against Toulouse and Lyon, but they're now just one point above the relegation slots.

Definitely. He'll be one of their more saleable assets, and entering the final year of his contract, one that they'll be anxious to sell before he leaves for free.

Fans got their way and he was out at the half (possible injury). They still lost in the final minute, 0-1.

Typical comments about him, of late:

    Etc.

    He's become their scapegoat.

EPB subbed in a minute after this post, as part of a post red card (Balde) restructuring. Score stayed 2-1, though.

Unfortunately, they're now sitting 19th out of 20, with the bottom 4 getting relegated this season. They're only 2 points from safety, though, and there are only 3 points separating 19th from 15th, so I'd still expect to see a lot of movement between now and the end of the season.

31': New corner for ESTAC. Rony Lopes takes care of it and finds Palmer-Brown's header which passes just next to the Lorient goal.

    #FCLESTAC 1-0

    Also earned a yellow card.

Looks like they're going down. When they sacked Irles after just one win in 8 games, they were in 13th place, though only 3 points clear of relegation. Now, they're 19th and their GD has dramatically worsened as they've stopped scoring and started leaking like a sieve.

After 13 games under Irles, the stats read
    P 13, W 3 D 4 L6, F 22 A 27, GD - 6, Points 13

After 13 games under Kisnorbo, it reads
    P 13, W 1 D 3 L10, F 12 A 30, GD -18, Points 6

The thing is, they're only 3-4 points from safety and they've got 11 games left, including four 6-pointers. A new coach could still salvage things but they'd better move quickly.

Ended 2-2 on a 74 min PK. Didn't see any of it. Troyes still bouncing around near the bottom.

good extended highlights with lots of EPB in them. Troyes really unlucky not to score early. Brest's first was a big deflection off a Troyes player. EPB nowhere near it. EPB gets hockey assist on Troyes first, tho it's 100% a striker's goal. Not at fault for the PK. Rash challenge when he had position. And he had a chance to win it late. Fun 6 minutes.

Have been able to watch him recently on travels.

Watched him in Hollan, some in Austria and now France.

    That spans several years.

He looks almost like the same player he did in Holland. Still makes the same errors. To casual on the ball at times and can lose his player in the box too easily. When the game opens up a bit, and it rarely does for Troyes, he can be punished in the open field. Reminds me of me of Miazga in that regard in France at Nantes. Actually, he and Miazga are similar. They have enough, but not enough to get over the hump.

Troyes game plan has them without the ball so damn much. Last year if they had gone down he had such good press that I am sure a team in Ligue 1 would have bid for him. Now I’m not sure. If not he would probably be better off in MLS because Troyes would not be some kind of sure bet to go straight back up.

Lost 1-0. Huge loss in the relegation battle.

Odds on fav to go down now. Can‘t see them surviving.

We can still say we got a defender in Ligue 1 for another month.
