Unfortunately, no. I will be moving my #3 son to LA this weekend. We were planning on attending. I haven't been to Monterey for awhile...
You are not especially close to Monterey as the stadium is actually in Seaside (a couple of towns away from Monterey). I would recommend hitting something in Santa Cruz, Moss Landing, Gilroy, or Castroville on the way down. The most convenient options are a Subway and a pizza joint next to the PX across Lightfighter Dr from the stadium. Keep in mind that the Pebble Beach Pro Am is happening this weekend and one of their satellite parking lots is right next to the stadium.
Maybe that explains why a room in the town of Marina was $500-600 a night. I couldn't justify paying that for a pre-season game against a 2nd or 3rd division team. (What league are they in?)
It's 10 minutes from downtown Monterey to CSUMB, and the stadium is like 2 miles from the highway. The game is at 7pm everyone from the Pro am will be gone by then.
New San Jose Earthquakes signing Carlos Gruezo will wear number 7 for the San Jose Earthquakes. Gruezo joins former Quakes Magnus Eriksson, Carlos Fierro and Cordell Cato to wear number 7 for the Black and Blue. #Quakes74 #MLS #DTID pic.twitter.com/wA1YIyxCoJ— Favian Renkel (@FavianRenkel) February 2, 2023 back of the jersey leak
So I would assume that's Gruezo's wife and mini-me, and Luciano Fusco? BTW Renkel says Gruezo's been training with the team already. Don't know for how long though.
Gracious of Cordell Cato to give up his number. I thought we might have retired it after CC, but then Eriksson and Fierro had it also. I think it might be jinxed actually.
He was actually not a bad player. Fast, and high work rate - the kind of player we tended to sign around 2015, and scored a goal against the Gals at Stanford IIRC.
So the new primary jersey is predominantly black after all. And paired with black shorts and black socks, the primary uniform will once again be predominantly black. Thank God that I still have my 2021/2022 blue authentic primary jersey to wear for several more years at least , although it’s back to me being aesthetically embarrassed of the team again whenever they play in the primary uniform for the first time since 2020. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
In the expansion era I'd cite Ronnie O'Brien as #7. My favorite is of course Ian Russell. They could have even picked Danger if the wanted someone currently with the organization.

If it's bad and you have medical tell your doctor. Paxlovid will have you back on your feet in half a day. Otherwise Netflix and chill. Hope you feel better soon!
