All I know is that if I were a star looking to move I'd be weary of moving to Juve, another scandal could be right around the corner lol

If Zebras shed their stripes, so they won't be thought of as white horses that play for Juventus you'll know the image is irreparably tarnished

Honestly, I don't think this 15 point deduction is the end of it.

I have a feeling they will be dedcuted points next season as well and could even go down to Serie B once again.

Players want to go where they can win, be paid well and improve their image. Right now, that's not us. If we start righting the ship, it will change. FFS we couldn't sign guys like Berbatov and Draxler at one point, and then we got Ronaldo. Setting aside the fact that Ronaldo was not a good move in retrospect, the improvement of circumstances will certainly change the likelihood of us attracting top players, even if we agree we will probably see worse days before things start to turn around.

Elkann has said the club is not for sale.

    We shall see.

I don't believe him at all, he's a business man first and foremost. EXOR is his baby and if something looses him money, or negatively impacts EXOR he will cut it loose. I don't see him as having the same attachment as Agnelli when it comes to Juve.

If they do sell it I hope it's to someone that will take the company private and remove them from the stock exchange.

when it happens again it just makes the reputation unfixable.

it was one thing to bounce back from 06 and win 9 in a row but with this mess happening again erases all the good we did. Its hard to even have a conversation about it with people or even explain it to your friends or family who dont know the whole story.

whether Juve fans want to admit or not, our name is in the mud forever unless something drastic happens.

after this even if we spend big bucks to acquire players, chances are many wont risk it because of our dodgy past.

McK apparently didnt have a very good debut for Leeds. This loan might end up being more detrimental than helpful. Lol. We should have straight up sold him instead of that measly 1M.

if he doesn’t do well in PL then his pricetag will drop for sure.

i guess the only upside is he’s not gonna take away playing time from Fagioli Miretti

If anything was going to tarnish our reputation, it was the alleged match-fixing in 2006. The issue with the present penalties is that no one can articulate what Juve did wrong, and I think most people observing objectively know this is a crock.

You know that's not true, everyone sees us penalized and the facts whether it be a crock of shit or not is that we're docked points and will likely be docked even more with the salaries trial.

I don't know that's true. The authorities have yet to articulate in a manner that makes sense to the average football supporter what Juve did wrong in a way that it would make sense to punish the club as harshly as they have. This isn't like match-fixing.

The average football supporter doesn't care, they see Juventus docked and call us cheats, simple as that. You think some dude in England is gonna dig around to see what's happening in Italy beyond the headlines?

Not necessarily, but I don't see the connection between this nonsense and how it will prevent the club from attracting top talent if we are winning again.

Elkann said some months ago that football is now a billionaire sport not a millionaire sport and if the right offer came along and the club was going to be in good hands with a huge financial backing he would consider selling

Which would you prefer a first class passage on the Titanic or a second class trip on a ship that makes port? A move to Juve could have some serious shortfalls. A less glamourous choice would offer a higher margin of safety.

The analogy doesn't relate. I was arguing that clubs will attract top talent when they win. A move to Juve now is not appealing given the goings on; but how did it look to someone like Ronaldo when Juve were winning the scudetto every season and in two CL finals in three years?

I think it looked like PT Barnum was right, a sucker is born every minute and anyone who would pay that much for him was Manna from Heaven.
