Good news: Now Parrott can get it too. Shamrock Rovers duo Aaron McEneff and Graham Burke called into the Ireland squad after James McClean and Matt Doherty's Covid withdrawals. Troy Parrott also promoted as is Peterborough's Jack Taylor. Adam Idah is injured and returns to Norwich.— Paul O'Hehir (@paulohehir) November 16, 2020
Toby out for 2 to 4 weeks. https://soccer.nbcsports.com/2020/11/25/toby-alderweireld-injury-news-jose-mourinho-tottenham/ However, Mourinho spoke to the media on Wednesday and gave a positive update on Toby Alderweireld. “Toby has a muscular injury but not as big as we initially thought. He will have his time to be out but not like a month, which was immediately what we thought. I’d say between two and four weeks,” Mourinho said.
Lo Celso out 3 more weeks with a hamstring, it looks like he is the heir apparent to Lamela for missing time with injuries. Kane may play next week! Dele still out with a tendon injury, but Mourinho sounds like he is willing to bring him out of cold storage now that his loan move to PSG has not materialized. If anyone cares, Aurier is back in the squad. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...ne-recovery-common-ground-with-alli-tottenham
Ben Davies is out for up to three weeks with a hairline fracture just below the knee. So he's out of international duty for Wales this week, and unlikely to make the North London Derby. Which rather sucks.
Richarlisson will miss at least a month with a hamstring injury. We will definitely be without Lloris, Romero, Perisic, Bentancur and now Richie for the Boxing Day fixture.
Conte set for gall bladder removal today. I had this done about 20 years ago and I was out of commission for about 3 weeks. After a week or so, he should be able to sit down and strategize, but it will be a while before he's back slide tackling with the players in training.
That might explain why he has been relatively subdued on the touchline lately. I am sure the doctors will have disconnected his TV for Sunday - watching Spurs play is not exactly the best way to recover from surgery...
I am hearing 6-8 weeks. This means our season is riding on a 34-year-old backup who has hardly played. Again, poor planning in the summer by the powers that be.
Dude, c'mon. Anytime a starting keeper goes down with an injury, depending upon a backup keeper who has hardly played is the result. The only alternative is to not have a clear number one, which seems to me a far better indication of poor squad building.
Sessegnon is out six weeks. I don’t see how this team even fully fit was going to make top four. I hope Conte and Levy put all remaining eggs in the FA Cup basket. It’s the only semi-realistic shot at salvaging this season.
Why is it that players who look good at other clubs are utter shite once they come here? I mean Sessegnon was something else at Fulham, but he has done SFA since coming to us. He has been a total write-off. Hopefully Udogie is the real deal.
