Chelsea's stunning transfer spending spree under Todd Boehly is fast approaching the same as Liverpool have paid in last 10 windows (talksport.com)
https://www.liverpool.com/liverpool...ool-nike-lebron-james-22320263?int_source=nba Article about the collaboration with the Lebron brand. PSG made an additional 15m in merch sales with the limited edition Jordan collaboration. If we have a similar reaction, we'll earn even more given our variable contract with Nike.
It's a limited run, fashion collaboration. It's ugly. But the kids love this sh*t and it will swell our coffers while never having to be seen on the field, so why not?

Time for FSG to go. Liverpool takeover pledge was an empty promise - FSG’s true intentions are now clear - Liverpool FC - This Is Anfield
A report has claimed that RedBird Capital are considering “upping their stake in Liverpool,” but any further investment would be for owners Fenway Sports Group, not the football club directly. Why new RedBird investment would be for FSG, not Liverpool FC - Liverpool FC - This Is Anfield
This would be terrible for the club. Liverpool need new owners/investors who are willing to put money into the club , money most importantly for transfers. The worst thing would be FSG using the club to generate more funds for them to buy an NFL team or something similar. I think the last investment money from RedBird went directly into FSG coffers to buy The Penguins and not used for Liverpool FC.
At this point it looks like the FSG years at Liverpool will be a case study in sports ownership and management - how to turn a club around and create great value, then how to destroy much of that value very quickly.
Oops, I put my post about the latest redbird capital rumors in the FSG sale thread…. Feel the same, FSG have big roster rebuilds needed for both the Red Sox and Penguins teams. I have little confidence that most of that capital injection would be directed to improving the LFC squad.
