Subs out in the 61st. Not too surprising given the 1-0 lead and a yellow card to Boyd early in the second half. Still 1-0.

#3 in the league with 8G/2A right now. The others are 10/2 and 9/1.

Cyclops started. Subbed out in the 81st with an injury. Don't see any more detail on it, just general well wishes in the online German I see. 11 weeks off until the next match, so hopefully not injured badly enough that it messes with his vacation and he won't miss any time.

TOR for the #FCK! @TBoyd91 converts Boris Tomiak's rebound to make it 2-0 for the Red Devils (23'). #Betze #FCKRWE

Starts and scores in a friendly today against Rot-Weiss Erfurt. Then subs off, I think.

Perfectly placed chip over the defense as Boyd had drifted a little wide of his defender, and calm first touch volley. Great pass and finish.

FCK and Boyd will be Stateside taking on Louisville City June 21st for a preseason match. I might have to make a little quick midweek trip to my hometown of Louisville and catch the match. The way FCK are playing, they could be a Bundesliga team by then. Currently they sit 4th and are moving up the table.

Looks like Boyd hit the game winner for his 10th of the season in a 2-1 win. The Red Devils remain in 4th, but just a few points away from the second automatic promotion spot.

Boyd might be my runner-up for YA POTY behind Ream. Great season and so damn important to FCK in their surprise season. Can’t believe their are in the hunt for promotion.

They really are in the hunt. This win was their fifth in a row and moves them to a single point off the playoff slot and only two behind second-placed Hamburg. They have lost just one game since early August. Sometimes a team catches lightning in a bottle - i.e. two promotions in on the trot - and this is looking more and more like one of them

They're still in the race but next game is a sixth-pointer against #4 Paderborn (they're #5 on GD).

Big match today vs Paderborn. #4 vs #5. Tied on 35 pints but Paderborn ahead on GD. Match is 12:3@ EST and shown on ESPN+. I’ll have it on in the background as I work.

According to Transfermarkt, it finished 1-0 - to Paderborn that is :(

That's two 1-0 losses in a row. Call it the Curse of the Irish Rover

It was very evenly matched game. Terrence hit the crossbar on a lunging, sliding effort. Paderborn scored off of an excellent free kick.

It was an even affair and the clash of two styles. Paderborn a more possession based style and FCK more counterattacking. Boyd was decent today. He had a couple of chance. The best being that sliding shot that slammed off the crossbar. He maybe should have finished it but it was at a funny angle and he did have to reach for it. You could tell Boyd was a focal point of their defending. he was double teamed quite often. Fun game. I always enjoy the 2nd BL.

His 11th of the season puts Kaiserslautern up 1-0 on Furth in the 23rd minute. (Julian Green on the bench for Furth)
