Going to Qatar 2022: tickets, accommodations, etc. (non-politics)

I am in the reverse situation! Got my refund for R16 tickets I sold, but still waiting for a refund from the Accommodations agency.
May I ask when you canceled apartment nights?

Was also searching and still searching for the official poster but none in those shops at Katara - they never had them apparently. Did not see any official posters on sale anywhere in Qatar. If anyone has different information, would appreciate it.

 

I don't believe there is an official poster for sale -- only 'homemade' stuff you can get off eBay. I also looked all of Doha when I was there, with no luck.

I sent a letter and emailed the Supreme Committee asking about the poster and got no reply. (I actually just received the letter back on Friday, almost three months after I had sent it, marked 'return to sender', despite the fact that it had been opened.)

I actually stopped by the Qatar America Cultural Institute when recently in DC, as they had the poster set on exhibition. Nobody knew anything about how to buy a poster.

Not what you asked, I know, but I have the spent a lot of time trying to find the poster for my collection and these links are the only fruits of my search, so I thought I'd share them.

(A friend of mine bought a 'homemade' version off eBay and is pleasantly surprised with the quality with the quality, but that's rolling the dice.)

On Friday Jan 26th finally got my refund for conditional R16 games.
That closes the book on my 2022 WC experience.

 

For those who might care, Qatar just announced the extension of Hayya until Jan 24th, 2024.

 

simmilar to russia four years ago. simple logic, if they were here for the world cup and they normally need a visa, let them come again without applying for the visa and spend some more money in our country!

well, apart from one minor flaw … there is nothing in qatar and whoever went for the world cup probably already saw everything one can see there

Lol - actually when I saw the news circulating today, I thought it was a typo or some old news rehashing but didn't realize it's until 2024. Actually the Asian Cup will be here next year, dates still to be announced but I bet it'll be extended for that too.

Random, just after a few souvenir tickets for games i paid other people for wondering if anyone has and is wanting to swap or have any spares I will buy. The matches I'm after are the following:

I’m also waiting on a refund, I received everything other than sale of 2 conditional round of 16 tickets.

I emailed Fifa and just got an auto response. It does state they will refund within 30 working days which has now been exceeded

Still waiting here, going by uk public holidays today is day 31, I had email in dec saying they couldn't refund me to the card, so I've put SWIFT and IBAN numbers into my profile bit still nothing

 

Today I was finally refunded the ticket on my card for the match Serbia vs Switzerland that I sold on the resale platform on November 30, 2022.

 

anyone know when the last day is to purchase souvenir tickets? I'm having trouble accessing my account
