That's the thing. FFP is a joke, but it did force Chelsea into signing these new players to very long-term deals and that could backfire down the road if a good chunk of these players don't turn out to be really good.

Its difficult enough trying to offload a player with 1 or 2 years left on an inflated contract, try getting rid of one that has 7 years remaining on his contract.
