Chelsea would never allow it. Were he to flop in Turkey his value in the summer would take a heavy hit, and you bet they still expect to be able to recoup at least half of what they paid. Which is already unlikely to happen.
Some of these takes on Pulisic's value both in wages and transfers are OTT. If they sell him this summer, I am pretty sure they can get at least a fifth of what they paid and they used the other four fifths so it isn't like they took a loss. If they could sign him for another five and sell, his value might be close to what they paid per annum. I also doubt he agrees to a transfer that is a significant wage cut. There are a lot of moving pieces here, but going to Turkey is ridiculous, even more bizarre than MLS. His injuries have been particularly untimely, and complicate the matter even more. How much will a team pay for a super sub that could be starting material if he can get over the injury hump? I don't think we can know anything until we see how long he is out, and whether he can make an impact on the pitch when he returns. I believe all parties have adopted a wait and see approach, and what happens next will depend on how much time he gets and what impact he has. This is not American style transfers, the player has to agree to any terms before a transfer can be finalized, and with no pending WC, there are no incentives for team Puli to take any significant wage cuts. Probably not many offers that appeal to either side at this time. He is still on a CL roster, and he is capable of making a difference on his day.....
2 likely scenarios for CP, regarding contracts and transfers: 1 - Chelsea extend this contract, and pay him the wages he's currently on or increase it slightly 2 - Pulisic runs down his contract and become a free agent. I am sure there are least a few EPL teams out there that would be happy to pick him up for free and pay his current wage or even offer him a 20-25% increase. 3 - Chelsea sells him off this summer. Again, it's probably a little difficult for a team to pay the $30-40M that Chelsea is supposedly asking for, while picking up CP's current wage. This automatically priced out a lot of mid table teams in the EPL, and majority of teams in the other top leagues. So who's going to pick him up this summer, who really want him? I can't really see anyone except for a team or two. With one year left on his contract after this season, #2 seems to be the most likely scenario.
Pulisic runs down his contract and LAFC picks him up on a free and offers him 25 mill a year for 4 years with added incentives and lots of endorsement opportunities.
I'd be really disappointed if Pulisic goes to MLS any time soon. It would feel like he gave up on his career way too early.
