Aaronson is a sub at higher levels of soccer. It fits his energetic style that works when the opposition is gassed.

Pep, if you take Jedi then you need to take Ream with him!
By the way, I just found out Ream’s true birth certificate with his true age.

Left footed left backs always get extra tries. We look at them compared to the best when we should be comparing them to who a team has now.

6 Million to 1.75 Million in terms of valuation in 13 months kinda tells the tale. Been a crazy ride, from trying to figure out why he sucked at the U20 WC in '19 (seemed like promoted to start after Taitague's latest injury, too raw at 17 and lacking in ideas to play w/the big boys like Tim Weah, Richie Ledezma, and Mendez in that tourney), to the potential breakthrough that wasn't with Barcelona in early winter in '20, breakout with Barcelona's youth side the following spring, early strong performances summer of '21 and then total implosion from fall '21 through winter '22-'23. :(

Sands another Euro move that didn’t work out? Does he go elsewhere in Europe or is it back to NYCFC…

His stall out surprised me quite a bit, I was hopeful he would turn into legit CB/#6 depth and it aint looking like that's gonna happen, time to pray it happens for Tessman (some day I'll spell that right?).

I haven't seen Konrad play at club level aside from short highlight clips, but I never thought he looked good when wearing a U.S. jersey--not for the U-20s and not for the senior team. He clearly has skill, but he doesn't seem to read the game well and lacks the high-end speed needed to consistently beat guys on the dribble at the top levels. Hopefully, he can find the right level to sort his game out and become a late-blooming redemption story like Wright.

    here
In the U20's, I thought the problem was that he was played too wide. He'd beat a guy, but the guy would recover bc KDLF isn't very fast. Seems like he'd be best in a 2 forward system.

Would certainly be better that stuck on the bench for a relegation threatened BL2 team.

Oh wow. Would be happy to see that lifeline.

mad far as KDLF…….. interest in Utrecht, AZ, ligue 1…….has to take hull. That kinda sucks but beggars can’t be choosers.

Did Sands perform well enough against Scottish teams for Championship teams to be interested in him? That seems like it would be a jump up in quality, not sure what he's shown that indicates he's ready for that...

Sands got them to their first Champions' League appearance in over a decade. Then he got conveniently scapegoated for them not looking nearly ready for the competition, unlike during their past glory. And he could never shake that stain off.

He's a 22-yr old center back, who has some versatility. Could still be seen as a prospect. And Rangers are better than almost all the Championship sides. So just because this skipper can't see use in him right now, doesn't mean other teams won't.

He's at a crossroads for whether he becomes an MLS lifer or rises up the ladder in Europe. I think he and Rangers need to commit to it happening now, to the best option, or it's not going to.

Rangers don't need to "commit" to anything, he's just there on loan, and both the coach and the fans don't seem like they have much interest in him... he and NYCFC need to sort out his next steps.

sounds like Wright's injury might preclude a transfer
I thought he looked promising spring and summer '21, he started collecting goals and assists, started looking dynamic, and then he did some of that with Marseille in the preseason, and then, to quote Dana Gould, the following 18 months have gone over like a fart at church. Just embarrasingly irrelevant. Part of me simply doesn't understand why he keeps getting interest from clubs at a similar level to Marseille and I don't get it. We all can see the ball skills, its literally everything else that is seemingly missing.

Did he ever beat a guy at the U20's? Memory is an unreliable narrator, but all I pull up when I think about the U20 WC is him being a black hole where passes went to die as he failed to beat his man or connect really anything EVER. At the time, I gave him a pass as he was 17 and wasn't supposed to be starting anyway, but in retrospect, it seems relevant. Maybe he did beat someone, at least once?

needs to be a lesson for 18 month loans. His and bassets didn’t go well. MLS clubs snd players themselves need to think twice before thinking about agreeing to those

additionally, what Is the general consensus of both s middle and high end paid transfer for a championsship club these days

I mean...NYCFC needs a centerback after losing Callens this offseason........

Then again NYCFC looks like a team in transition this upcoming season.
