Maybe when I retire, and have an excess of time, I will be motivated to get up early every Saturday morning and go to a bar to watch EPL. But it will be a social thing based on the community of local fans. One of things I like to do on Boxing Day is go to the soccer bar in Buffalo and watch the EPL games. Bar is overflowing. Every team has its local contingent of fans, and they all know each other and genially rib each other. Sadly, the blizzard this past December, with an edict against travel within Buffalo, prevented the traditional day-after-Christmas festivities.
Earthshaker, with rabid anti-local sentiment shown via sarcasm, has revealed himself to be a member of the shameless globalist elite!
That is why I enjoy watching British soccer, since there is probably no people more into tradition than the English. I really watching teams lower on the football pyramid, especially FA Cup matches featuring non-league or League 1 or League 2 teams. You really get a feel for a more community based support of the game.
you really should check out this DVR technology, absolute game changer. Not only do you not have to get up early, it’s commercial free TV! And, you can rewind and rewatch at your own discretion - amazing.
