    I pointed out a worry, a worry that looks fairly grounded at this point. You don't agree? I wish I could share in your certainty. I don't, sadly. An optimistic timeline that predicts a coaching hire this fall isn't great. It's not the end of the world, or the end of our WC 2026 hopes, or anything stupid and apoplectic or anything, just a lot worse than ideal.

    Either you just don't understand what @superdave is saying--at all--or you're the most intentionally obtuse poster on BS.

    While they said by the end of summer, it’s very possible things could go faster than that. And hopefully the hiring of Sportsolgy can help speed along the process. Hiring a sporting director doesn’t need to be a months long process. Nor does hiring a head coach.

    I feel like they Nagbe themselves a long window, but hope to get it done much faster than that.

    Dave, maybe now isn’t the time to quit the coffee.

    People get off track when there isn’t news.

    And that shouldn’t be news to you because it’s been that way for years.

    WTF - second time I've read someone saying YA is a notorious whatever - that's utter nonsense.

    @Ismitje

    If YA doesn't have a split personality of terrific threads AND exceptionally shitty threads, I dare you to read the Pulisic thread for 30 minutes, and not go insane.

    In fact, I double dog dare you.

    If you survive that (you won't), then spend half an hour in the Sargent thread.

    Are you saying @Ismitje already went insane or are you conflating Moderators as all alike?

    The problem with N&A is that people treat it as their one stop visit for all things USA MNT (ranting, fanatic stuff) and we've never had the [insert whatever we are lacking here] to really treat this forum as intensely moderated. If we did, I think the concern is it would be Marko talking to himself more than he already is. ;)

    It's also a really tough line to draw - it ain't like porn where you know it when you see it. But yeah, less infauxtainment Stephen A posts and more former Grantland writer posts is the dream.

    Ismitje, who has no idea what is going on, backs slowly away.
