Solbakken is coming from the Norwegian league in a team that didn’t nothing but attack. He’s got to learn how to defend and press as part of the team.
RIP us. We needed both Dybala and SES to score since they are our only threats. Also Belotti is slow and completely useless.
Fcuk, kept them at bay but they produce 2 beauties. Smalling maybe a little bit tired. The team still gives confidence.
Hopefully, Jose has learned tonight he can trust and needs SES to start. I suppose Roma cant get Aouar in now but just imagine what he could add to the midfield performance here tonight.
We have 4 pathetic teams coming up in league play. Have to take advantage or we aren't finishing in the top 4.
Why I don't get is why we're always stopping playing when we've drawn after a decent performance. I know this is Mourinho's style, but when you add how many times we lost points that way vs how many points we kept... the math doesn't make sense. Fortune favors the bold and that wasn't us after the equaliser with pressing 50 meters closer to our box.
Extremely harsh result. Fully deserved at least a draw tonight on the balance of play. They’ve not been pushed like that on their home turf for a long time in the league.
Honestly I appreciated Roma’s performance tonight. The pressure at certain points in the game was excellent and something I haven’t seen from this side under Mourinho. The difference tonight was the technical quality of Napoli’s forwards. And the fact that we can go to bench and out guys on the field who can make a difference. Last year this would have ended 1-1. Also that picture there is a little telling. The team might be more serene and united without Zaniolo
Mourinho: "Zaniolo? If you don't like it in the family then you should just leave. Here there's only room for those that want to be with us." https://t.co/yeFufZrtbE— RomaPress (@ASRomaPress) January 29, 2023 Jose Mourinho analyzes Napoli defeat: "This is the type of game where you lose and come out more confident than before." https://t.co/yeFufZqVm6— RomaPress (@ASRomaPress) January 29, 2023
Napoli has reduced salaries and sold key players (K2, Mertens, Insigne). The reason for the "strengthened" squad is Guintoli's eye for deals and talent.
Jose is getting roasted for the picture. But I thought he did a good thing Jose Mourinho made his Roma players take a team photo after they lost to Napoli yesterday... their faces 😑 pic.twitter.com/rUB1nnvixv— ESPN FC (@ESPNFC) January 30, 2023
