After many years, a Korean dons the Hoops again. I desire nothing more than this to be an enjoyable experience for him and us Celtic fans.

Significant win for korean football. Still wonder why Cho didn't capitalize his world cup antics and land a move to europe

Fear of failure, indecision...? There might still be a chance. Rumors at the start of Celtic's interest indicated we wanted both CGS and OHG. Jeonbuk are apparently preparing to bring in a striker to replace CGS. Mainz have bought a striker for themselves, so, they are probably gone as an option.

The comments of Postecoglou on Oh's transfer have been interpreted as a subtle "hit" at the Jeonbuk man, though.

There's still 6 days of this window, and the whole summer one. I do think he won't get as good of an interest in him in the summer. I feel sad for him, as he obviously was very torn between different options, and influenced by stories of winter transfers leading to hardships. I want him to do well, just like OHG.

there were rumors that CGS and OHG were supposed to come in together, to not have one of them feel isolated. I'm holding weak hopes this still might happen.

Jeonbuk apparently didnt want him to leave. So I guess he is being forced to stay

Is this the final say? There was that sort of message a few weeks ago. Then, his agent apparently said "there has been no decision, yet". After that, a big interview came out, where the agent detailed the whole transfer saga, stating that Celtic have been the most active, that Mainz's manager hasn't talked to CGS in person, but rather, that Celtic's manager did.

It seemed like the transfer might be back on. But now, CGS is in Spain. Jeonbuk are lining up a move for a Brazilian striker. I have no idea what will happen.

I really hope you are right. But I still don't get how Jeonbuk turned down such lucrative offers from Celtic and Mainz. The proposed transfer fee has to be one of the highest deals among all Korean players having gone aborad to UEFA soil.

Jeonbuk have apparently never sold a player to Europe up to this point. I have no idea what wages is CGS on, but he has not been as desperate to get a move as his younger friend.

Hopefully you are right. 2 strikers to Europe in the same year will be awesome.

OHG had a full press conference today. He's said he's very eager to make his debut- he wants to make it a match the fans won't forget. And when he was asked if he's ready to start, he replied in English- the only time he did so. Affirmatively. I know Ange customarily gets players that come from East Asia in January put through a fitness training programme, but I've got a funny feeling we'll see Oh's debut soon. There's a precedent as well- Hatate started playing quite soon after arriving.

On the forum I'm a member of, his good looks have also been noted. More than just noted.

Debuted today in the last 15 minutes of the match against Dundee Utd. Looked lively- forced a yellow card out of an opposition player, and had a brilliant cross from the right wing in the very last seconds of the game, but Maeda did not score.

Maeda should have converted that cross.
BTW it was a solid performance from Oh given that this is his first competitive match since the international friendly back in November just few days prior to announcement for the finalized World Cup roster.

He should have. And yes, Oh's performance was positively received. Next opportunity is already on Wednesday. His first taste of Celtic Park atmosphere.

I think the CGS saga and OHG's transfer are the perfect examples for this lol

The statement of Celtic's manager confirms that Celtic won't be bringing anyone new in until summer.

Am quite sad for CGS, because I don't know what will the situation for him be like in the summer.

20 minutes at Celtic Park tonight. Tried hard, and had a notable pass to switch the ball to the side, but was unlucky when in the box- the defenders prevented him from taking a shot at goal.

Some Korean news outlet has claimed Celtic might still move for CGS in the summer.
