The Athletic is reporting we could be in for Hector Bellerin, who has 6 months on his contract and is behind in the pecking order at Barcelona. Could be a loan though.
I agree, but Rochinha signed first. I think had the Trincão deal not gone through Rochinha would’ve been the guy expected to play that spot.
Tottenham reach full verbal agreement with Sporting to sign Pedro Porro, here we go! It will be sealed in the next 24h, if all goes to plan ⚪️🤝🏻 #THFCPedro Porro will say goodbye tonight and then sign with Spurs until 2028.Boarding completed - London ✈️ @TurkishAirlines pic.twitter.com/WQVjSgqSUf— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) January 28, 2023 While the game is happening.... let's enjoy his last game for us... Record saying they're going to pay 48M and up front after we apparently alleged that the clause can only be activated in the summer. Edit: More on Pedro Porro deal. Tottenham have never considered this signing at risk or close to collapsing; Porro was the priority target since beginning of January. ⚪️🔒 #THFCSpurs plan now: goodbye to Sporting fans tonight, travel and medical tests in 24h then contracts signed. pic.twitter.com/XOIzt7zWEV— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) January 28, 2023
Porro was so damn important to the club. Guy put it all out there and never showed anything but pride at playing for Sporting. Gonna miss him and wish him the best….but Spurs? SMH.
The salary they practice is ridiculous, even a Nottingham Forest offering 5x the salary would be tempting. But ya I feel he could have naturally gone to Real or Barca. Looks like Lamptey is off. Tariq Lamptey move to Sporting, now off as Brighton would only let him leave on a permanent deal. ⛔️🔵 #BHAFCBoth OL and Sporting have left the negotiations, Lamptey could now end up staying if things don’t change. pic.twitter.com/vmkjIsycJy— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) January 29, 2023
Never thought it would happen, but we’re at a point where Braga is attracting bigger names than us. We went after rochinha, Arthur, etc and Braga just signed bruma and pizzi lol. Let’s hope we can keep 4th place.
Surprised with Bruma but that guy hasn't had his head screwed on right his whole career. But if he and pizzi have the right attitude they might actually have a better squad than us. Meanwhile Sporting are advancing in negotiations to sign Hector Bellerín as replacement for Pedro Porro who’s joining #THFC 🚨🟢Sporting are in direct talks with Barça, also with Bellerín agent on personal terms. Talks are progressing well, as called by @David_Ornstein. pic.twitter.com/j7Qky3M4Xd— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) January 29, 2023
Bellerin seems the likely candidate. And Record says Diomande is a done deal, 7.5M + 5M objectives (reportedly the 5m is paid if he plays 90 games for us). I hope it's worth it. I can't say I know the player but a few scouts have said he has a lot of promise. I remember Tapsoba came out of nowhere and played for Leixoes, Guimaraes and then quickly got sold off for big money to the Bundesliga. But the whole thing about not having money for player transfers (specifically striker) is hogwash, Amorim is getting who he wants. I've mentioned Fran Navarro multiple times and from what I've heard, the board offered him to Amorim and he said no.

Porro deal off?? Player set to stay now according to The Athletic 🚨 Tottenham move for Pedro Porro is off after Sporting Lisbon reneged on terms of proposed deal. 23yo distraught after #SportingCP president told right wing-back that following Saturday’s League Cup final he would be allowed to leave @TheAthleticFC #THFC https://t.co/K7iBJUBNmj— David Ornstein (@David_Ornstein) January 30, 2023
That's what's being reported as well. I'd love him to stay but it's crappy to promise a sale and then do this. Tottenham are still working to resolve the issues and get Pedro Porro deal done. All parties are in contact. 🚨⚪️ #THFCHector Bellerín-Sporting deal depends on Porro to Spurs, one more to watch in the final hours. pic.twitter.com/dAr9K46mnJ— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) January 30, 2023 Pedro Porro 🚨⚪️ #THFCTottenham had medical tests booked today in order to complete the deal, agreed on Saturday as player said goodbye to the fans.Sporting changed details/conditions of the deal right before signing documents.Talks continue today to resolve the issues. pic.twitter.com/Fx4cuRSmsw— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) January 30, 2023
This club can't even sell a player properly. Pedro Porro refused to train today with the Sporting CP squad.( @brunoandrd) pic.twitter.com/Q3h8zjRcQz— All Things Alvalade (@ATAlvalade) January 30, 2023
Lol pretty classic Sporting. The odds of City buying him back for their 20mil or whatever buyback clause just went up with Cancelo leaving too. Tbh Porro is too good for Tottenham, but this is a bad look. Buying a kid who has never played for the first team for 7.5+mil shows that there clearly is money to spend. Use it on a striker please..
Could be happening again... lol it's always a novela with us 🚨 EXCL: Tottenham are resolving all the issues with Sporting and are finally expected to complete Pedro Porro deal on #DeadlineDay! ⚪️🏁 #THFCLong meeting just finished with full agreement in place — Spurs waiting for documents and contracts to make sure it’s 100% sealed. pic.twitter.com/eKVMGPyLkN— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) January 30, 2023
For us to pay that much, this kid HAS to deliver. We cannot have another St. Juste. That's 17M spent on 2 center backs which could rise to 25M if all objectives are met. Really hope he's the next big thing. And no 45M clause please. Perhaps we are planning to sell Inacio in the summer and Neto/Coates are aging so I get it. We've also been leaky at the back. I can only hope we go big on a striker in the summer. Not related to us but Southampton apparently is gonna hit the 30m clause for Vitinha from Braga and they want Fran Navarro to replace him... can't wait for Navarro to score against us inevitably
Understand Sporting are closing in on deal to sign Hector Bellerín. There’s an agreement on permanent move plus sell-on clause for Barcelona. 🚨🟢 #transfersMatter of hours and it will be done and sealed. Bellerín will replace Pedro Porro who’s gonna join Tottenham. pic.twitter.com/asWLJjPIn8— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) January 30, 2023 Looks like it's gonna be Bellerin on a permanent deal. Still only 27, I've seen a lot of criticism from fans - he's the next Jese. But last season he had a really good season with Betis, maybe he's not Barcelona level but in our league and our system, if he comes with the right attitude im hopeful he's a good addition.
Varandas deserves a lot of shit for this season, but this is honestly a pretty amazing sale. You don't often see a player go for this far above his release clause. Barca fans are pretty excited to get rid of Bellerin, but the bar for full backs is pretty low in Portugal, I can see him doing well.
Meanwhile Enzo Fernandez about to be sold for €100 million plus a player but sure.... Varandas is great ......
