2021/22 Sporting CP Transfer Signings/Rumours/Dealings

The Athletic is reporting we could be in for Hector Bellerin, who has 6 months on his contract and is behind in the pecking order at Barcelona. Could be a loan though.

Record saying they're going to pay 48M and up front after we apparently alleged that the clause can only be activated in the summer.

I'd rather put my faith in Esteves and Travassos if that's the case....

 

The salary they practice is ridiculous, even a Nottingham Forest offering 5x the salary would be tempting.

But ya I feel he could have naturally gone to Real or Barca.

Surprised with Bruma but that guy hasn't had his head screwed on right his whole career. But if he and pizzi have the right attitude they might actually have a better squad than us.

Bellerin seems the likely candidate. And Record says Diomande is a done deal, 7.5M + 5M objectives (reportedly the 5m is paid if he plays 90 games for us).

I hope it's worth it. I can't say I know the player but a few scouts have said he has a lot of promise. I remember Tapsoba came out of nowhere and played for Leixoes, Guimaraes and then quickly got sold off for big money to the Bundesliga. But the whole thing about not having money for player transfers (specifically striker) is hogwash, Amorim is getting who he wants. I've mentioned Fran Navarro multiple times and from what I've heard, the board offered him to Amorim and he said no.

That's what's being reported as well. I'd love him to stay but it's crappy to promise a sale and then do this.

Tottenham had medical tests booked today in order to complete the deal, agreed on Saturday as player said goodbye to the fans.

Sporting changed details/conditions of the deal right before signing documents.

For us to pay that much, this kid HAS to deliver. We cannot have another St. Juste. That's 17M spent on 2 center backs which could rise to 25M if all objectives are met. Really hope he's the next big thing. And no 45M clause please.

Perhaps we are planning to sell Inacio in the summer and Neto/Coates are aging so I get it. We've also been leaky at the back. I can only hope we go big on a striker in the summer.

Not related to us but Southampton apparently is gonna hit the 30m clause for Vitinha from Braga and they want Fran Navarro to replace him... can't wait for Navarro to score against us inevitably

Looks like it's gonna be Bellerin on a permanent deal. Still only 27, I've seen a lot of criticism from fans - he's the next Jese.

But last season he had a really good season with Betis, maybe he's not Barcelona level but in our league and our system, if he comes with the right attitude im hopeful he's a good addition.
