Hope to god that Lorenzo quits screwing around now and calls up the proper players so I don't need to relive this embarrassment again

I mean good for him getting in some evaluation of the talent in the leagues that aren't in season and getting some money back into the fed to pay his salary, etc.

He's never going to get permission from Prem or Seria A teams for these kinds of meaningless friendlies...he couldn't even get the Mexican based players for this game!

If this was the big chance for a lot of these guys... No one stood out. What a difference vs. the Yaser and Jhon Jader debuts recently...

Even Cucho looked out of sorts though he hasn't played since October...

I can't stand that Cucho guy

he may as well have just done microciclos honestly. I wonder if he knew beforehand that he would get rejected by everyone

Right. I think the way to look at this is a microcyclo where the fed gets in some money and you get a scrimmage out of it.

I am so happy that I didn't make the choice to drive to LA. Regardless, I do appreciate the fact that the coach is experimenting and giving players a chance regardless of an unofficial friendly result. But I do think that with actual official friendlies he will be able to call up the players that he wants and can do with. I just hope we get some proper friendlies against legit teams.

I’d say, that beside the keepers, we got 4 or 5 players that can provide something, in extreme necessity. We all knew this was a C team at best.

Anyone else get Viafara vibes from Velasquez?

I just don't know about him. Is he just a corre loco or is he good. Same some moments where his 1st touch was dog s hit. It just looked like he was always winning the ball back. Not sure if he lost it in the 1st place haha

that Ruiz kid.... not impressed by him at all. Tho to be fair this team was really really bad after the 1st 15 minutes.

Any one else see the US has a kid named Tolkin ? :) come on I can't be the only nerd that noticed that

I must have been watching another match cause for a January friendly with a bunch of MLS and Colombian league players it was not that bad.
Especially considering most of these guys have never played together before.

The team just has major issues putting good shots on target but that has been the issue for the "A" team too other than when Lorenzo took over.

Montero was doing well until he started to trust his 2 left feet. How does a GK with his experience also clear 3-4 balls out of bounds.
Borrero and Velazquez I wouldn't mind seeing again. They did win lots of 50-50s and created some give and gos. Surrounded by better players I think they can do better. Defenders looked weak and CBs looked slow and small. Fabra seriously looked 10-15 pounds overweight. Strikers were useless.

This team didn't really play with our typical #10 line and countered with speed but just awful once near the box. Also, why does Colombia still play corners short? This goes back generations. Never works!

Not sure what conclusions Lorenzo can really take from this match. Only Campuzano looked ready for 1st team.

just goes to show how much of a massive massive gap there is between these local guys who play for Pereira, Millonarios and NE Revolution and the guys who play in competitive leagues.

the colombian league continues on in the same vein as it always has, mediocre, unreliable and stagnant. This is why I cannot trust any manager who's sole experience lies in the local league, very very risky to say the least

I agree about the guys you do not mind seeing again at midfield. Velazquez especially cause even though he is unpolished he is still relatively young and can get a lot better.

I will say Llinas to me is smooth and should be ready to be a reliable backup come qualifiers at CB.

Yes. We need our players to matriculate up to the top 5 Leagues in Europe cause you can see the difference. That said, many of these guys were very nervous making their debuts and we cannot judge them based on one game. We have seen many guys look out of place in their first Colombian match only to look better the more they get experience.

Agreed about the Colombian League opinion for the most part. I was thinking about Keepers too. They need to see different styles and different types of matches and not just the local league or else we are pretty much screwed.
Hopefully the Devis in Milan can develop fast.

The Colombia vs USA game was so boring. I just ended up switching to the WWE Royal Rumble instead during halftime.

Llinas (Naruto) played a great first half, other than that, everyone to me looked stale, maybe one brilliant run from Valoyes, I do admit that Valoyes is fast.

When Booker T came out to do the spinarooney I was excited. More than Arango and Cucho losing balance every 5 minutes

People are mixed about Cody winning it but I think my favorite moment was Logan and Ricochet pulling off that sick closeline from their respective rope.
