We aren't the most eye pleasing team, but this kids are working very hard. Big fan of Castilla, Puerta and Mantilla. It's been a while since the midfield of a youth colombian team is the best part of it and in my opinion Castilla and Puerta can be part of the senior team soon if they stay healthy and get playing time.

just got back from the stadium. Castilla kid has a crazy work ethic and heart. Ocampo did his thing and also mantilla. the 2nd half with us basically letting Argentina have possession was irritating . i wish duran was here lol

Lucky win but I’ll take it. Hopefully they can make stuff happen in the final tound.

Question: I saw that the field was hard, but didn’t you think that the ball was extra bouncy too?

He was hurting since the 85th minute and neither the referees or the coach tried to take care of him. Only like 5 minutes after the game was finished someone went to check on him.

Good three points even if it was a Keeper blooper.

Hopefully Bogota gives us an advantage and the fans show up as well as they did in Cali.

As for Castilla he has been called up for USA camps so I do not think he is a sure thing unless he does get called up for Qualifiers this cycle.

if we qualify for the u20 WC and he plays with us doesn’t he have to ask fifa to change federations or only for senior level?

I mean he accepted the call for the U20. That has to show you where his heart is. Colombia needs to call him for the qualifiers

This was the rumor. But he's been training with Villa, and in an interview said he wants to make his debut in their next match.

Definitely. And, being how he's already part of the senior NT, this tournament just as isn't as important to him as it is to the other kids.

A one-time switch paperwork would be needed.
With the new rule changes he could even do that if he is called up for qualifying.

Yes he is obviously leaning Colombia.
But the USA has had many players in recent history accept callups and training camp calls to other Nations only to convince them to play for them. Calling them up for a Gold Cup or some other tournament.
If the USA calls him up for that or Copa America with the Senior team he may be tempted to do that than wait a million years to play for Colombia's Senior team. IT all depends on timing and opportunity sometimes but I don't know what is on his mind and heart. Also do not know how Lorenzo rates him.

Don't think it's up to him. If Villa don't sign another striker this break they are down to two including him...

Looking at the first match in the Final phase--- it is going to be a rumble.
Uruguay is looking like vintage Uruguay. Possibly the best team in the tournament.
Physical, intimidating, good at set pieces, strong in the air, lethal counter-attacks, they know how to put shots on target.

We should be able to out posses them (as per usual) and keep the ball but they know how to play without the ball. Hopefully we can be better with our chances compared to the last couple matches cause we are going to have to keep up with their style and antics if they go up on us.

    weak group

Colombia just needs to qualify to the WC. Sell some of these kids and have a decent showing at the WC then sell some more

hope we have a U20 like Falcaos were more than half of them got called to the SNT.

4 teams qualify to the next round. Brazil and Uruguay pretty much a lock.

we just have to beat Paraguay and the other 2 teams in Uruguay group and are at the WC. Huge failure if we don’t make it.

also we should have beaten Brazil and not having Duran or a legit striker stopped us from humiliating them

tbf, Colombia's group was pretty tough so its impressive that they did so much. That ridiculous goal against Argentina is exactly what I expect, otherwise we'll probably draw 0-0 or manage to lose 1-0 somehow.

also, Rojas is 16?! he should be with the U-18's. He should be happy to even be with this team
