Tolkin off. He's one of the few bright spots. Some overreact and like to throw the baby out w/ the bathwater though. This camp is about struggling through the shoddy play to unearth a couple gems. I think he's one.
I have liked Tolkin, Cowell and Zendejas in this window. I would put the latter two ahead of JMorris and Arriola on my wing depth chart.
Sorry I just got here, in what world did Williamson do anything to deserve putting his name in the same sentence as Qatar jesus lol.
To the best of my knowledge, there is no limit on sub windows for international friendlies unless the teams mutually agree to them.
Two names keep coming to my mind sitting here, and I dont know why: Tonya Harding, Matthew Hoppe. I may need a dream interpreter for this one.
This brings us to a record 12 debuts during January camp: Aaronson, Jones, Gressel, Morris, Neal, Rogers, Sabbi, Slonina, Soñora, Tolkin, Vázquez & ZendejasThe previous high mark for debuts during matches prior to the start of the MLS season is 8, across 3 games in 2006. https://t.co/4ZoX5zp2bY— U.S. Soccer Comms (@ussoccer_comms) January 29, 2023
Said Martinez has had a pretty solid game tonight, but he missed that one on Aaronson. I think he probably didn't expect the intensity and physicality of this one, but with the exception of that missed call he really hasn't missed a big call tonight.
Hoppe has all of the makings of taking the "king of CONCACAF s***housing" role from Acosta. He definitely has a bit of a "prick" side to him when he wants to show it. I don't think that's a bad thing, as you need someone like that in some of the CONCACAF cage matches we play.
Can we get him not taking 10 seconds every time to get the ball off his foot too? If not, I'm not interested.
Some levels just aren't high enough for the NT anymore imo. A 25 year old "not bad" winger in Denmark just isn't it anymore.
