NASA got it right when they focused on robotic missions. Human spaceflight is a criminal waste of resources given our climate issues. Musk can fck off with his apocalyptic Mars exit strategy for a handful of billionaire assholes.
I'd much rather be living with the sea creatures under the surface of Europa anyhow. That's where the action is.
Some are adapting. Like this citrus grower in...Georgia https://www.cbsnews.com/video/how-farmers-are-adapting-to-climate-change/#x
There may be a breakthrough regarding fusion energy. https://www.ft.com/content/4b6f0fab-66ef-4e33-adec-cfc345589dc7
Well...there is profusion and confusion. There always seems to be an abundance of the latter around here!
Reminder: A #BombCyclone occurs when excess heat from other areas of the planet pushes on the artic cap forcing that cold air to be displaced somewhere else.Unmitigated global warming will make them more likely and intense.#ActOnClimate #climate pic.twitter.com/6TgGjC8W6J— Mike Hudema (@MikeHudema) December 23, 2022
It’s amazing how anyone thinks Peterson is smart. He is truly spouting some nonsense about cars and climate at the moment I cannot believe people think this man is smart https://t.co/4140cR8mxG— Michael Hobbes (@RottenInDenmark) January 1, 2023
Auckland was inundated with roughly 10 inches of rain in 24 hours. The international terminal at the airport was flooded with subsequent damage, including to 9 of 12 baggage carousels. A flight from Tokyo was redirected to Brisbane, Australia, New York went to Honolulu, Houston was rerouted to Rarotonga (lucky them!), and other international flights went to Christchurch with many being canceled. One of my friends was flying to Vancouver but she was stranded in the international terminal with the flight being canceled. The international terminal is scheduled to start opening again in the next hour.
Depends, do you know what species? Canadas are year round residents in NY. There are over a million resident Canadas on the Atlantic Flyway. This is the last weekend of season here. I've seen Sandhill Cranes migrating back already as well, but their flyway isn't over NY as much. Snow Geese migration would hit upstate more-so in March, but I'd expect some early flyers by now. There would probably also be some resident and migrating white fronted, spotted, pink footed, brants, and cackling around.
Suddenly there are lots of purple nosed, rainbow chested, gillygobbles doodling their recalcitrant neck warbles.
