Something tells me you didn't find this in the George Best fanboy sites that Falvo usually gleans his material from.

 

That’s a very sad photo of George.

I would never bring myself to post such a picture.

Here is a true story....In a game around 1980-81, the Vancouver Whitecaps played the San Jose Earthquakes where Peter scored 3 goals. After the game, Earthquakes star Geroge Best asked Beardsley "what part of Canada he was from"? Peter responded, he was from Newcastle. At that point Best arranged for hm to get a trial with Manchester United and the rest is history. All thanks to George Best and the old NASL.

I have been thinking the same thing. Every time I open the thread and see the jaundiced George Best I wince.

 

it's depressing. we all know the sad story of his demise. I see this thread as a wonderful celebration of his genius.

 

If you would have done each of those in their own post we would be on a new page now.

 

I believe one of these is in the museum collection.
