honestly I’d say a player like Weston is a perfect compliment to a guy like saka. McKennoe has that engine Groningen in a six pointer agains cambur between rejec
Eh, fighting one's way into a 4th place side in a weakening Serie A is a whole different animal than getting meaningful minutes for a title contender competing in the strongest league in the world. Regardless, I remain skeptical of the Arsenal links. While they do need midfield help with the Elneny injury, McKennie strikes me as something of a desperation signing for them, one who they would only turn to if a better option (Caicedo, Zubimendi) doesn't come to fruition.
Pepis Groningen are now foot of the table and needless to say fans aren’t happy . Plenty of time to sort it out but they are in serious trouble
Source can confirm Pisa indeed are very interested in USMNT midfielder Gianluca Busio. Not sure how likely a move is at this stage, but plenty of time before transfer window closes.Busio, 20, has 16 apps (11 starts) for Venezia this season as they sit in Serie B relegation zone https://t.co/xA1NxzDs1c pic.twitter.com/veSJ53cqLA— Tom Bogert (@tombogert) January 27, 2023
Matt Turner playing some nice fancy distribution ball for arsenal in the fa cup game against man city. 0-0 47th minute

Turner was very very good. Clear improvement in his distribution and coming off his line to command his box. At one point looked like he hurt his shoulder after an aggressive punch clearance but was able to continue. No chance on a perfectly placed goal but made other top notch shot stops.

He always looks a bit funky but he’s awesome. Picked up the sport so late, but just has that desire to improve. Well done.
Pretty amazing what Turner is doing if you consider he didn't even start playing until 16 right? I mean in only 12 yrs playing he's become a very solid GK for Arsenal as their #2. To the point that if he keeps rolling out there in these matches and showing you wonder if Arsenal sell him for quite a nice profit. Or, perhaps he ends up getting close to Ramsdale, close enough that it may make financial sense to sell Ramsdale and keep Turner. Consider Slonina is 18, Turner had only even played in goal for roughly 2 yrs at that same age. LOL
Scally with a big block to deny a scoring chance in the box, and Brooks looking pretty good in the first half of Gladbach-Hoffenheim.
Speaking of Berhalter and players with issues with him, Brooks sure made it easy for him by taking a 5 month hiatus in Portugal. Good to see that he's already back in action.
Like folks are saying in the Twitter reply thread, that was not a good decision. I'm really thankful that the City player didn't commit to the press at 0:05 or else it would have been an easy pick. I can't see where the left back is but perhaps that would have been a better outlet.
Hoffenheim's backline still looking rough. Not to put that on Brooks mind you (though he did play a part in the 2nd goal) but it's gonna be hard for Brooks to really shine unless they get more help
What's going on with Haji? I know there's some rumors, but it looks like he's persona non grata with Antalyspor now.
Two weeks ago, a team official had stated they would have Wright's transfer situation sorted within 10 days. I'm not sure what'd happened. Normally, if there is an imminent transfer, the player will not be on the roster.
He got beat twice for goals in the first half, and added a 3rd in the 2nd. He never looked "pretty good". It was a nightmare debut, that's going to put him in peril for when reinforcements return. His caveat is this is his first game in a long while. But he's going to need to improve a lot. The footspeed ain't gonna change. He can theoretically fix the effort & awareness, but that's also often been a problem.
