when you contort like that to explain away racist statements of politicians you support… are you ever in a position to kiss your own ass?
No. The fans are conservative, all day, every day. The Venn diagram of players who are Black and have never been lynched in effigy in the US is a circle. Even with Trump's rise to power, I don't think that's happened yet. That he didn't get visibly upset is not an indicator that what they did is acceptable. Getting a rise out of the player thru racism-based conservatism deserves a response, but the TOS don't allow me to suggest it.
Merely pointing out that YOUR outrage may not be shared by those who YOU assume were insulted. Also, I see that, as usual, you failed to provide any substantiation for your attack. Please stop posting nonsense.
Back when ITN was around i always felt he was playing a character of a ridiculous over the top conservative, sort of like the old Colbert show. Then vfish came along and I wasnt so sure anymore, and with the current conservative deep thinker contributor I'm almost certain they wholeheartedly drink their own kool aid.
Yeah, vfish was like a Hannity call-in regular. He savored the role of just being a contrarian for its own sake.
I posted a racist quote by then Dem Senator Biden I don’t know what else I can do for you You are too twisted for me to untangle
as you would assume, I don’t agree with your assessment to me, it’s like this… We’re all fish swimming in the ocean and you (and many others here) insist that they are dry and keep wanting a definition of and proof that water exists and anyone who says otherwise is a troll, fascist, racist … or whatever is required by the compulsory Two Minutes of Hate
you keep saying that Do you need me to play the victim? I’m merely following the precedent of established behavior here on P&CE in this particular instance, it was a precedent which you established
When I was teaching in Memphis, I got to know some of the different ways Black women did their hair. And I started asking questions, and it got to the point where 2 or 3 times, there was hair did in class at the end of the day. At that point, I started asking if I could touch the extensions to understand texture (this was after it was explained to me about glues, sew-ins, weaves, etc. and the synthetic v. natural hair). But I only did that with students in the context of learning/teaching as it was always followed up with a couple of questions. I never did it with any of my coworkers. We had conversations, but touching their hair? Beyond weird. But I dated a woman here in Milwaukee who told me about how guys would just come up to her and touch her hair, no conversation, no asking, just...man, that is creepy. Not shocked. The Ultras of several Spanish clubs are rather racist. I know there was a bigger issue with Real Madrid a bit back as the Ultras had some level of power within the club. Is? You mean, this is 2007? This has been dealt with by everybody who actually cares about it. I read it as DT was mocking they way White people would say he should take it. I have less faith in the Spanish authorities (at any level) dealing this than here in the US.
Projection, 'jection, what's your function? Gonna point some fingers cause I'm scared of in-tro-spec-tion
I can count the number of sisters other than my mom and women I've dated whose hair I've touched on one hand. One. I have never dated anyone who wore a weave. There is no way on Earth I'd ask someone if I could touch their hair. I've never asked a White student if I could touch her hair. I don't need to understand it. Agreed. That's an intrusion on privacy. He knows what I know about race. I was half joking with him.
I feel the same way about the hair touching as I do the pregnant woman abdomen touching. Maybe they're both some sort of primordial cave dwelling behavior that thankfully didn't get passed down to me. Too bad few women post here because they are the ones who are affected and I would be more interested in their takes.
You know I was just repeating the excuses that have been doled out for that kind of behavior over the years.
I thought I remembered @phedre44 having an humorous anecdote or two. My wife had several instances of people commenting on her pregnant body. It's like people reaching out for connection, and they think they have the perfect ice-breaker. It definitely extends to babies too, before they can talk much. And then there are creepy people that follow you around in the grocery store.

My wife (or I, if I was there) would be in prison if it got that far. She's pretty amazing at keeping her bubble clear and using body language & verbal language to keep unwanted attention away. It took me the better part of a year to get a date with her.
"We adhered to the Rooney Rule and now we're gonna hire a White boy" Just another reason I love the NFL so much
