-Dahmen looks like good chance will be XI for Mainz over weekend due to Zentner having fitness issues https://www.kicker.de/sorgen-um-zentner-und-die-chance-fuer-dahmen-933579/artikel -Karius extends 🤝 @LorisKarius has extended his contract until the end of the 2022/23 season! ⚫️⚪️— Newcastle United FC (@NUFC) January 19, 2023
Neuer is done and even gets pressure at Bayern. He should do all fans and the other NT team mates a favor and resign from the NT.
back to back XI for Dahmen at Mainz. its good as it will allow him to advertize himself for Summer transfer.
Mainz confirm that Dahmen will play his 3rd back to back XI this weekend as Zentner is still not ready.
Ortega had clean sheet 1-0 W for Man City vs Arsenal in FA Cup. its his 7th cap for club since Summer move.
-Dahmen looks to continue in XI for Mainz tomorrow. Will be his 5th cap of season and 10th for Mainz. -on Nubel Alexander Nübel could be a serious option for RB Leipzig, who are considering bringing in a new goalkeeper due to doubts over the return date of Péter Gulácsi - currently sidelined with an ACL injury. Dahmen to become Mainz #1??? Dahmen makes it "excellent" - Zentner is still out Is there a permanent changing of the guard in the goal of 1. FSV Mainz 05? Coach Bo Svensson's statements at least give the impression that Finn Dahmen could stay in the box in the future. Robin Zentner, the real number one, is still out with back problems (for three weeks) and after his recovery he must be worried about his place. "Dahmen is doing very well. That's what I expected too, because we see all the time how good he is in training. He's doing really well and he had a few really good scenes [in the cup game] against Bayern," said the coach at the press conference. "Finn is completely dependable." Dahmen was able to use the opportunity that presented itself to get back into position. "I'm happy for him that he can play. He definitely deserves it, but that doesn't mean Robin deserves to be injured," said Svensson, who made it clear: "If you get a chance, you have to take it and Finn definitely has that case made.” Zentner works individually - return open It is therefore conceivable that Dahmen, who will not extend his expiring contract in Mainz, will remain in goal at least until the end of the season. Zentner is doing better now, but Svensson could not answer on Friday when he can be fully involved again. "I spoke to him a few days ago and he's already doing some drills on the pitch. It is clear that he has to train first and get to 100 percent. Because Finn does it very, very well.” https://www.ligainsider.de/finn-dah...finn-dahmen-darf-sich-weiter-beweisen-333289/
Benda in Championship #1 is injured and looks out for season. sheesh, this is 2nd time he becomes #1 in Championship (2 different clubs) and both times got injured. In past 2 years, I have seen more injured GKs then ever. Even our GKs are becoming injury prone.....
Neuer gave two heavy confrontational interviews in the aftermath of the resign of Bayern's goalkeeper trainer and personal friend of him. It's all turning into a clash between Nagelsmann and Neuer.
Dahmen continued in XI in 1BL for Mainz. I do hope in Summer he goes to top 4-5 league in Europe and not 2BL-1st Abroad.
-Nubel Alexander Nübel has a new perspective at FC Bayern following the departure of Toni Tapalović. New goalkeeping coach Michael Rechner appreciates Nübel's qualities very much. Should there be a fair & open competition with Neuer & Sommer, Nübel would come back On the other hand, if either Neuer or Sommer is guaranteed a starting spot, the Bayern chapter would be over for Nübel. Monaco want to sign him permanently. Other clubs, including Leipzig, have also enquired. For now, the priority is to hold talks with Bayern Tapalović's dismissal was a sign that Neuer is no longer untouchable and that both Sommer and Nübel have realistic chances to start for Bayern next season. Nübel is waiting for a signal from Bayern to know if he will get his chance next season Alexander Nübel has a new perspective at FC Bayern following the departure of Toni Tapalović. looks like Bredlow has benched error prone F.Muller for past 2 matches and kept 1st home clean sheet in AGES. so much for that now Nubel is last GK to breakthrough for real in top league. Dahmen could be next one but his fate is unknown. I don't care about either Bredlow or F.Muller tbh, more interested in the 2005 born Seimen becoming Stuttgart #1.
doubtful, even Leipzig have no plans for him to be #1 beyond Summer. They have Gulasci back, they have a Belgium 02 who they see as potential future #1 and they are linked with Nubel and some others to possibly become #1. So Blaswich is sadly for him just a stopgap.
Dahmen linked with Schalke+PSV and its said given he's available free transfer likely more will show interest later. https://www.fussballtransfers.com/a...rete-gespraeche-schalke-psv-baggern-an-dahmen
only recently became #1 for your club but DFB is never gonna call up a Eredivisie GK and has too much competition vs GKs who play in top leagues. And Wellenreuther is already 27 y/o not that young.
according to reports for Dahmen interest are Schalke, PSV, Augsburg, Hertha Berlin and an unknown 5th club https://www.fussballtransfers.com/a6953009763767340200-dahmen-hat-fuenf-angebote I just hope he joins a club that is 1BL next season.
This article raises a very important point about how worrying the future German goalkeeper generation is. https://www.dw.com/en/germanys-goalkeeper-generation-after-manuel-neuer-and-co/a-64887528
its not 100% accurate. One has to remember that dfb only looks at the NOW. But sure almost all options are 30+ but the ones who are 30 have easily another 6 years to play. Kahn, Lehmann, Neuer have played NT over 36 y/o too. so we got time. between like likes of Nubel and Dahmen for 90s born. Wouldn't write out Grill either. but then add the likes of Fruchtl (#1 in Austrian Bundesliga, some listings had him as best GK in 1st half of season), Mantl, Ramaj (likely to replace Trapp in future), Olschowsky (has prospect for next Gladbach #1), Atubolu (gonna become Freiburg #1 once Flekken bails), Schreiber (#1 in 2BL Kiel on loan), Urbig (#1 in 2BL Jahn on loan), Ernst (bench GK at Hertha), Gebhardt, Schenk, Krumrey, Backhaus (seen as Bremen potential future #1), Seimen (seen as most talented GK in Germany by experts. Is seen as future #1 at Stuttgart), Goller (contender for future #1 at Hertha, could be clash between him and Ernst), Podlech (contender for future #1 at Schalke) etc and list goes on and on. real issue is that 93-99 didn't produce much. While there are far more interesting young GKs emerging.
