This is a heartwarming video from George Santos’ constituents. They are all in. It’s beautiful. pic.twitter.com/Va7zj2swWC— Jane of the North (@JaneotN) January 25, 2023
My wife and I know the lady playing the pregnant woman who’s “never had sex.” She’s been a writer for the Daily Show for years, and the one time we saw her do standup she killed it.
It seems like Mastodon and Post are where most are migrating to. I’ve been following this Spoutible thing for a couple of months, built by a group led by the botsentinal dude. He’s been active in combatting trollish and abusive behavior in media outlets and Twitter. They release next week to those who have pre registered. I’m interested to see if this becomes a viable alternative, or if people are already too vested in the other platforms and it doesn’t launch.
There's a bar not far from me called "The Office" for the same reason. I work from home much of the time, so I have not been there.
Even better, there is a bar/grill not too far from me called Straight Home as in I'm going "straight home" for lunch. Not a gay bar, unfortunately. That would be more ironic, I suppose.
Best bar/restaurant name I ever visited was The Bitter Alibi in Chattanooga Tennessee. Their slogan was, "You were here the entire time." Place was three stories, lowest level being a dive bar, middle level being a general restaurant/bar place, top floor being a fancy cocktail bar with a balcony.
Yesterday I passed a dilapidated little building that houses the Third Base Sports Bar - "Slide in on your way home."
Until about 6 months ago, there was also a bar in Wausau, called Alibi, where every had an excuse. Yes, there are an awful lot of bars around here.
There's one in my town. https://www.theofficesancarlos.com/ I don't think it's a chain - it's just a fairly obvious name that probably gets used for lots of places.
No really, drones are considered classified-at-birth, so they're classified no matter what source they're from. A Super Bowl commercial about drones would be classified.— Enhanced Interrogated Poet (@agraybee) January 25, 2023
Baker on Baker violence…you hate to see it New York Times says that it will make a major issue of Biden's classified documents, regardless of the evidence, just like Clinton's e-mails https://t.co/lVChbpDRXw— Dean Baker (@DeanBaker13) January 25, 2023
Actual journalist: explain to the public why the two situations are "markedly different" and what that means for the respective casesNYT political journos: wankfest about their prediction of the optics of it, which they will work hard to make a self-fulfilling prophecy— Centrism Fan Acct 🔹 (@Wilson__Valdez) January 24, 2023
This is so true. We do hate weird shit. I keep coming back to this tweet because if you're trying to figure out what happened in this midterm, you could pay $40M for a thorough autopsy or you could just read this tweet and understand that this is what it would tell you. https://t.co/GRvFg4Zp7e— Lakshya Jain (@lxeagle17) January 26, 2023

Not only French but also college-educated and thanks to my celiac disease, on the list of work-place disabilities as well. Poor and mentally ill can be up for debate (certainly prior to 1973 when my family was on food stamps and the DSM classified me as mentally ill for being gay)!
BREAKING: Police affidavit in Atlanta claims a climate activist is a "terrorist" for "occupying a tree house" in the forest while posting on social media. Absurd. At most this is trespassing. ask yourself: has the strength of this recovery been accurately reflected in the story Americans have heard from politicians and the press about the economy the last two years? https://t.co/KAarcK6e4I— John Harwood (@JohnJHarwood) January 26, 2023
