That was a #9's goal. Makes up for his awful miss earlier.

That was the opposite of a wall. Zimmerman: by many miles, the most experienced player on the field, makes the rookie error.

With apologies to people who don't get HBO Max or Peacock...

It's nice to have broadcasts start on time and not have to worry about missing some of the game or having a rushed postgame show because of the channel's other commitments.

Cade Cowell gets two-thirds of the 3-bar jackpot in 20 seconds.

That wasn't a bad game. We started nervous and showed more moxie as the game went on. Serbia's second goal was a collective brain fart but that'll happen in useless friendlies.

I thought Aiden looked best when on the ball, defending he looked a bit slow and missed some tackles. A few turnovers that were ill advised, but you will have that with someone in his roll trying to facilitate possession. Is he going to push Adams, Musah or McKennie at this time in a competitive match for minutes, no. Is he 21 and going to continue to develop? We hope.

    Stewart is out.

Berhalter supposedly still a candidate for HC but they want the new TD to do the hire so it'll be a bit.

    ESPN article:usmnt-earnie-stewart-exit-leaves-leadership-in-flux

Cone:"Today, we have a unique opportunity to bring in a new Sporting Director to build on this momentum. We are eager to engage new leaders who will match our ambitions and realize our vision for the future, taking our National Teams to the next level, including competing for a FIFA World Cup on home soil in 2026."

This is the shit that drives me nuts. I know we're not supposed to break this down and analyze but what the hell is she talking about? USSF is a damn sewing circle, the last thing they want are new leaders. There is no vision for the future and what does she mean by next level? It's just a bunch of nonsense that makes the person who wrote it think they have accomplished something. What a bunch of dunces.

At this point is it a rookie error? Zimmerman has shown a propensity to error especially in big games. In MLS playoffs & with USMNT at WC. I just haven't ever been able to figure out why GGG 9 or anyone) had so much love for him. There must be better CBs we can run out there.

We have this problem where someone has a great game or tournament, then the focus turns to overvalued experience. MRob and Zimm had a great Gold Cup a few years and that cemented them as starters for the World Cup. Never mind that they may have played above their heads, been at their peak, have a chance of slumping in the next few years or get an injury.

The overvaluing of experience was on display at the World Cup when you have Yedlin playing over Scally or Morris seeing the field at all.

I’d have a lot more respect for USSF if they just said the Berhalter/Reyna circus has been a total shitshow circus from hell and anyone involved is out.

They know it. We know it. Everyone knows it.

Corporate spin like this is just insulting our intelligence.
