It’s also encouraging that Trossard contributed in the build up to the winning goal. I wanted this one badly. I may dislike United more than I dislike Sp*rs and I don’t want them anywhere near the title race. I’m actually hoping Liverpool catch fire so we can keep United, Sp*rs, and Chelsea out of the Champions League.
Yup! So now the card threshold resets from 5 to 10. Potential suspension crisis averted, or at last kicked down the road.
Arsenal have the youngest squad and the second youngest manager in the league, let's not fetishize experience too much.
Manchester United only had 12 themselves. The difference of 51 touches in the opposition box between Arsenal (63) and Man Utd (12) has only been higher in one Premier League game this season:53 difference in Man City (56) 4-0 Southampton (3) back in October. pic.twitter.com/pLRFY1M8ST— Opta Analyst (@OptaAnalyst) January 22, 2023
Except when he decided to get cute and try to play his way out and through Rash, which was way too close to gifting them a goal, for my liking. I'm not dissing Tomi but I still think he has a little way to regain the peak defensive form he showed for us last season
Not even sure who you are talking to or what you are talking about, but enjoy the rest of your day my brother in Islam
Bad mistake, but it was about his only one. I think you're right, he has a little ways to go to get back to where he was, but not all that far. He looked good, especially as the half wore on.
In case anyone was wondering, the womens match @brighton was postponed due to frozen pitch, which explains why Paramount+ removed it from their site at last minute. Which gives me another hour back, and perhaps the opportunity to rewatch the mens momentous mission vs manure . And stick it on a DVD for posterity?
Great win. We were poor in the first half---lots of sloppy passing under pressing far less intense than Newcastle posed. But we turned it up in the second, especially after their equalizer. On that, not good by Ramsdale---needed to just put his fist through ball instead of trying to catch. But he had a couple of great saves and overall was good. And in keeper years, he's still a baby. Love his intensity. OZ. FFS, what a player he is.
Eddie is good at playing by the offside line. He can ghost, make the defender think he is off and get the ball legally. He also had a nice shot saved by DDG. I always liked Eddie. He's a fox in the box but a good one. Not elite level and plays different from Jesus but is valuable esp as we make many chances. Great game and shout out to Ramsdale. These past two games he's come large. Those saved are points. Let's keep up the spirit. Love watching us on the field after 90. The unity and love is there and that's key. Tough patch of games over now to maintain and stay injury free.
