I said this on the other thread. We could have Hakimi and Theo as our starting fullbacks.

Carvajal performance is not something that surprised people since his performance dropped significantly since two seasons back

Please tell me when would JAS and Pèrez would see that big hole in squad

We would concede 10 goals a game.

As shocking as it may sound, after 26 games we’ve scored exactly same number of goals as that of last season. (56)

Difference has been in defence mainly. (26 v 20)
It’s Barca who have not been static as last season, they’ve improved in almost all areas and that’s why doing better in liga.

Yup, it's hurting us a lot this season too. There no obvious top quality options out there unfortunately, but for RB I like Foyth from Villarreal, he always gives us trouble when we play them offensively and defensively. Bringing back one of Miguel Guti or Fran Garcia and playing Alaba at LB more often might solve our LB issues.

I just don't get it, Vin is nowhere near the form he was in last season and constantly distracted on the pitch, Rodrygo isn't doing enough, Benz also a long way off last season's form, Fede, up and down, Camma yet to show any consistency re quality performances, Marco being Marco, Tchou ok getting to know his role, Luka time catching up, Toni time catching up , Rudiger still to, "get going" apparently, our whole attack looks lost but.......... our main problem is two full backs, can't follow the logic

A lot of players in bad form

the fullbacks are just not good enough. Just because we can’t blame everything on the fullbacks, doesn’t mean we should ignore that Mendy is not good enough and that Carbajal is past it

Teams and fans have clearly figured out they can get into Vinicius head with a little trash talk and taunting. At this point even non racists are probably thinkin about throwing some shade his way just becuase they know it will help their team. Too late now but he needs to forget about all that take a page out of the CR7 playbook.

Jr is distracted but he's also brutal 1v1, the issue is he's isolated and usually 1v2 because there's nobody overlapping or providing width when he is running at defense.

I think Benz is in a little bit of a slump since WC.

Biggest issue for me is lack of late runs into box, zero creativity, too little athleticism in midfield due to too much reliance on Kroos and Modric. Fede is off too btw, we just don't hear much about that..

Next would be the back line collectively is making too many mistakes. Doesn't really matter which CB combination and the fullbacks are woeful.

    Edit:
Courtois is the only player outperforming expectations right now

Was Ronaldo really that mentally strong or did it seem this way because he was so good that even when frustrated he found a way to win?

He's gotten sent off before and angered, but if you're twice as good as the next guy on a bad day, what difference does it make?

I'm sure football will burn through tons of guys who will crack under the comparison of having to be Messi/Ronaldo.

Im sure there were many times Ronaldo (and Messi) were insulted, even discrimanated against and could have cracked under the pressure but they came through at his age. Vinicius needs to do that at this point if he's going to take his game to the next level. Nobody is going to win them all but you can't be a superstar and be fazed that easily by the "noise."

Pathetic. Whether that's him trying to get out, or us trying to get him. Just desperate and miserable.

******** him and the shoes he plays in.

If he wanted to play for Real Madrid, that's what he would be doing right now. We should sue the guy for copyright infringement for that comic book of his.

They won't. Fullbacks won't get replaced any time soon.

It might be pathetic and deplorable, but it surely will be a game changer for the next 7-8 years, that's for sure. We might as swallow our pride and get him if we can within reasonable means.

Well if we won’t buy fullbacks

Maybe go to 352 and buy someone else and have the side players be players with immense work rate that can carry the ball and cross the ball

    Rudiger militao Alaba

Fede Modric tchouameni Kroos Luis Díaz

    Benz Vini

I think Fede and Diaz are special players that have unreal work rate and also have tremendous skill. If we buy Jude, then take out Kroos and put him in his place

Rubbish. PSG are not selling Mbappe to Real Madrid. They’ll accept someone else’s offer.

The Mbappe dream is over and he’s partly to blame.

He's one of the best 3 players on the planet right now so obviously the idea of him playing for the team is intriguing, but I don't want to hear about it. If it happens, make it happen, we've had enough of the talk and the emotions and all that.

Its highly unlikely that Carlo goes for a formation change at this point. But the least he can do is if he plays Modric, Kroos and Camavinga together, don't put Kroos in the pivot position and Edo on the left, but vice versa.

He would have to be willing to play tor free because PSG is going to want 300ME and we still need to sign a #9, a RWF and two fullbacks.

I would take him for free but if he's on his diva b.s. I'm hanging up the phone (and people don't change like that overnight, we'll see you in 3 years bubba).

I feel like there could some surprises in the off season...like last year. I asked a few times last season what we would do if we missed out on both Haaland and Mbappe.... and most wouldn't even consider such a scenario....but here we are.

Similarly, it is conceivable that we could potentially lose both Modric and Kroos or 2 of of Benz/Modric/Kroos as they are all running out of contract.

I wonder whether the club is preparing for an overhaul even bigger than we're expecting.

If we lose (out of contract), Modric/Kroos/Ceballos/Asensio/Mariano....even Nacho (there has been some rumours)....that's a LOT of bodies to replace.

Would not surprise me one bit if Kroos decides to hang it up...and Modric goes for one last lucrative contract elsewhere.

We need to be a little patient.....A lot is probably in the works right now at the club.
