This match needs someone throwing a pro wrestling flying dropkick before it's over.

Nick Rimando must have been busy coaching up keepers before the tourney.

Dumfries apparently picked up some pre-penalty shithousing pointers from Acosta after our match.

A chance to win and you miss the goal completely?

I've said that about most of the cards that actually were awarded during this one.

I look forward to the trolling of the Dutch online. I don't look forward to the responses.

I turned the game on just after the first Netherlands goal.

Not disappointed. Entertaining end to the game.

Matchtracker shows Dumfries and Lang getting yellows during the shootout, but only 15 in total.

I'm with you on that. It's all just shocking and sudden. He collapsed at Netherlands-Argentina allegedly.

The US Embassy in Doha has to get that body immediately and do an autopsy. The Qatari government and medical personnel cannot be allowed to do anything.

He tweeted during the game. Was only 48. Now, the rush to claim certain things seems off the rails with no basis other than speculation by certain people

True. But when your brother, who seemed to be in perfect health, suddenly dies in a country known with questionable (at least to many people) ethics a couple weeks after being detained for half a day because he was wearing a shirt in support of LGBTQ+ rights; I tend to think that you are going to assume that he was murdered. That is just a natural human reaction in a time of grief. Now there are going to be plenty of people that aren't close to him that are going to rush to post blogs and do videos talking about it trying to make some money off it. F those people.

He had bronchitis and hadn't been feeling great. He wrote about it on his substack a few days ago. At 48, yeah seems too young. One look at twitter tonight will tell you the social media herd has already deemed it a murder and won't be convinced otherwise.

This is how it starts, and I see this happening on social media. "Arrested". "detained for half a day".

The reality? He was detained by security staff at the stadium (not arrested or otherwise detained by police) for 25 minutes.

Wahl posted an article on his substack today that called out yet another migrant worker death in Qatar and blasted their government officials for shamelessly not caring. That, along with the earlier detainment, are why the US has to be the ones that do the autopsy. It may have been a freak incident that was due to something undiagnosed, but that has to be determined by a US coroner. Nobody needs to blog/video/whatever about it. US officials and legitimate medical personnel need to take control and figure it out before anyone says a word.

Fox's coverage tomorrow will be fascinating.
