I'm still having trouble figuring out what the acceptable level of contact is at the moment, so I'm not surprised the players don't have a lot of confidence. Hopefully he can get through the next few minutes without another blowup.
I wonder if this performance affects UEFA assignments going forward. He has not distinguished himself.
Are you really supposed to have two coin flips for KFTM? I was always told to find a reason to pick a side. Then have a toss to decide who kicks first or second.
And, who would have? The answer is no. Except, perhaps, him being kept away from a certain player/club if there's a particularly ugly scene at the end. But let's not go overboard here. He's been dealt a largely impossible hand and the criticism we have here (you need red cards!) is not going to be what the neutrals take away from this match. Also, this might/could/probably be his last spring season in UEFA anyway. I imagine he's retiring in May.
The keeper approaching the spot/kicker should be a caution. Brings nothing but disrespect to the game.
He kept giving cards and adding time. I am not going to pretend that he's likely happy with his performance, but I also have no doubt he's a professional and felt/feels an obligation to see it through to the best of his ability. But, back to what I said before, if you're rattled the ceiling for that ability can decrease.
Depending on who got involved, we were very close to millions of viewers learning that yellow cards don't carry into KFTM anymore.
Pro tip for the Spanish AR2: always put the remaining 10 players from each team outside the circle. That way they are always at least 20 yards from one another and can’t yell/taunt each other.
Going to need to see the actual match report to see if Mateu got to 16 cautions. He is now standing around with his red out, too, for the record. I think we will see a dismissal.
