There is absolutely no way that he won't play for Argentina if Argentina wants him. We can put him on U-20 team, and that won't help either. As of now his significant talent is dwarfed by his dad's attitude. There is no sense to suck up to that dad. We either are the only bidder or he doesn't play for us period.

Haiti is holding a U17 camp in Florida. We can assume there are some YAs in the bunch.

Angelo Jean Baptiste and his staff continue in Florida the first part of the three training courses for young grenadiers to integrate Haiti U17 men for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Peru 2023.

Thats very problematic. Not a player we want to lose.

Let's hope Argentina doesn't include him for their qualifying team. The timing of the qualifying tournaments works out terrible. If ours was in January, he might've made it. That ours was in July could end up losing us this dual-national. I think he's quickly becoming a necessary inclusion on our U-20 WC roster, if by that point he's not firmly in the Argentina program.

Did I? I wouldn’t give myself that much credit. I think I said that he should make the U-20 WC team. That I stand by, but if Argentina thinks the same for their team it could be too late.

I think something like when someone on the roster was replaced you wanted Cremaschi. I might be wrong.

Well we don’t know he prefers Argentina. It’s not like we had a competing camp he’s turning us down for.

The U20s have a camp in January and we should call him up. But I don’t think this one camp with Argentina means he’s lost to us.

I remember how U-20s were treated by Argentina when Mikki Hoyos was there. Hard to compete, that's not Mexico.

One of the measures of progress within our development programs is the number of kids being called up to the the youth teams of "major" nations. Portugal, Argentina, England, etc. recently.

If we're doing our jobs in terms of player development, then these kids are going to be "in demand." So while I know we all subscribe to #dualnationalpanic, ultimately these callups are a good sign.

If Javier Mascherano called me, would I attend the camp to learn from him? You better believe I would.

Now the USSF just has to put the work in if they want the player too.

In the end the goal is to be France. And France loses a tremendous amount of dual nationals.

At the same time, we don’t produce that many good players yet.

If we lose a few dual nationals in an age group, it’s going to end up hurting how much impact the USMNT sees for the age group.

I want these countries to be interested in our players, and I want our players to play for the USA. I don’t view it as a good thing when our players play at these YNT camps for other countries.
