    Di Maria had overload/muscle fatigue

I’m reading De Paul has a desgarro (muscle tear) that typically requires at least 10 days of recovery

If RDP is at risk of getting even worst injury, he should at least only play as a sub againts Netherlands.

Portuguese her but always been an Argentina fan as Maradona was always my favorite player growing up.

Honestly I have the Dutch as favorites although I think Argentina pulls it off. I think they have more talent all around, although Argentina has better forwards. That dutch defence is pretty damn good. It is a toss up game though. I have been shocked at how good Depay has looked, out of nowhere the guy looks like a world class player with his national team.

I am praying for an Argentina Portugal final, that would be the most epic world cup final in history. Although to be honest I don't know if I see anyone beating brazil right now.

latest espn pundits reports with the usual cheap shot: our defense is rubbish. Apparently he watched Benfica and Otamendi has been 'rubbish' at 1 on 1. Romero is too aggressive therefore rubbish and Acuna is average and rubbish

Lmao you can't make this up with these so called experts. Did he watch Otamendi vs mbappe in the CL?? I am sure the liar never watched anything

That's why we con CA 2021 conceided just 3, unbeaten in qualifier, won finalissima 3-0, currently in QF unlike some of their top favs Spain and Germany.

Do they make a big deal of Brazil losing to Cameroon?

There are like 40000 fans supporting Argentina this game. They bring La Bombonera to Qatar.

    Time to win.

Guys, do you not find it weird Lisandro rarely starts? I feel like he should be nailed on every match.

Starting in front of whom? Licha will become a regular starter after the World Cup. Unless we are playing with a back three, then I do not see him starting unless Cuti or Ota are out.

De Paul asays he is fine. All sorts of rumours. Maybe it's disinformation. Personally I'd not disclose any information that nay be of use to the opposition.

Anyway all thar matters is those eleven that go onto the pitch do their jobs to their highest level. Win the ball, pass accurately, move and take the chances when they come.

We need to be prepared for set pieces, if they stick someone like Wieghorst upfront on how to secure the second ball, penalty prep. Shame we cannot get Ledesma out there as he's a large keeper too.

At this stage the smallest details can prove crucial. I hope that Scaloni had a word with Alfaro and watched how Ecuador turned their defence down the flanks.

That's how it may pan out. Who wins that wins the game. Perhaps this is why Scaloni is more defensive with them. The US were caught on the counter down the flanks especially.Robinson playing almost as a LW.

Anyway Vamos Argentina. Hope the crowd are the 12th man and lift the side as they have been doing.

I think Scaloni plays super defensive. This game has PKs written all over it. My only wish is Lautaro doesn’t play at all. His confidence is shot and we need everyone contributing.

Think he was just saying the chat was speculating that Dybala would show up on the stream, then corrected himself and said Scaloni.

If we lead 1-0 I want us to continue to press and goes for the kill. We need to get the second & third instead of letting them having the ball and waiting for them to make mistake. The more possession they have, the more confident they would be. We need to throw them out of their rhythm with pressing like we did to Brazil & Italy.

We gets complacent againts Saudi after going up 1-0 early and losing the ball in midfield didnt seems to bother us until they suddenly scored. We also did way too much silly passing at the back for no reason at all which reminds me of Sampaoli 2018 team. Just make a freakin proper clearance!

Scaloni is playing too safe or some might call it panicking by subbing in 3 defenders. He really needs to focus on midfield and attack for counter otherwise we are inviting a goal

Yes, almost went full Pekerhead against Australia. Instead of killing the game by fielding Dybala or Correa, we got Montiel instead.

Imagine having forwards like those two sitting on the bench the whole tournament. I actually a bit worry cause Scaloni and Aimar looked panic & tense in this tournamemt unlike in Copa. The subtitution againts Australia can be a sign of paranoia.

I’m super anxious about this match but I feel that way about every match. Just don’t wanna get humbled on the counters. I feel like the Dutch are a little overrated and while they played well against the USA I think the shitty tactics from the American team did them in a lot worse and the lack of adjustments.

I am off work after today until the new year so hopefully we get as many Argie matches as possible!

I’m strangely not nervous about this match..

Not that I think the Dutch suck or that we have it in the bag by any means, but I have faith in this team

Of course the nerves will begin at kick off, but for now I’m relaxed and just really looking forward to the match

I don't want to be a broken record but watching Saudi Argentina now full game on replay..
2nd goal taglafico completely beaten on the flank allowing the cross that started this whole play.

There is nothing I want more than to see Paredes give FDJ another spanking. Mac I want for penalties for me he plays too far from the midfield line, i can't see his contributions in the middle where he is actually needed.

Enzo pushed up is really needed. This is the most logical move but I don't see Scaloni doing it as he is infatuated with Mac who to be fair contributed more than I expected

Same. Unfortunately, the most realistic move that Scaloni will make to push up Enzo will be when he plays a back 3.
