Fantastic result and even sweeter that it was the Moroccans that did it. I'm actually off to Morocco this weekend on business and pleasure, the atmosphere should be great!
The Atlas Lion will NOT play the game like that, I can assure you! They will take the game to Portugal, put money on them scoring a few goals.
Way too deep to be honest. Ronaldo was out of the last game, he might be in the next one. Whether his antics leading up to, and during the World Cup have been benefitial for the team is something else, but whether Portugal win or lose, is really only something that would bother the Portuguese isn't it?
Dude just scored hat-trick and now he will sit on the bench? No way. Ronaldo also not starting vs. Morocoo.
Argentina vs Portugal final, Ronaldo to score winner would be a fitting end to his career, also would settle the debate for who is the GOAT, once and for all.
Cristiano Ronaldo: “If we win the tournament and I don’t score a goal, I’ll take that, I swear on my children’s lives. The most important thing for me, is what will be written in history.” 🐐 pic.twitter.com/7xkbsp6mW2— SPORTbible (@sportbible) December 7, 2022
Luis Enrique felt that accusations Spain were not in control didn't match up. pic.twitter.com/qkETadYqVk— Football España (@footballespana_) December 8, 2022
"World Cup record historic low viewership in Germany, broadcast numbers half that of 2018" It seems like, maybe, telling people have horrible and terrible this world cup is for a month straight, might have affected viewership? In similar news, Sky Germany misses out of the CL from the 2023/24 season, Amazon buying out their share of broadcast rights. I'm feeling like every single game in a world cup and Euro without German participation might land behind a paywall in the short term future.
IMO no it wouldn't, have you seen and read the rabid fanatics on both sides, debate will boringly rage on, until another young new superstar emerges i imagine
The question right now he needs to address isn't if he scores a goal or not in the final ... it's if he is fine watching it from the bench.
The propaganda has been utterly disgraceful and hypocritical. People's opinions have been formed for them, to such an extent that when you say you "like" the WC, it is as if you say "I am a SOB that does not care about human rights or LBGHQ++". People have literally forgotten how to (critically) think by themselves, or – and I feel this is the more logical explanation – people have finally started to show their true self and share (in the open) how they truly feel about a certain group/re(li)gion. Dangerous times. To be clear: I absolutely love this WC, one of the best since a long time. Some incredible performances, results, suprises. It's been great and I have the feeling it's a great succes outside the "West"!
He would actually have to lead his team to the WC to settle that debate. A dive and a penalty in the first group match doesn't exactly match Maradona 86, I'm afraid. .
Otavio: “Everything around Ronaldo is negative according to the media. They create many fake stories. Ronaldo is an example, he is our captain, from the locker room he supported the team, even when he knew he wasn't going to play.” pic.twitter.com/WARTAT9H3j— TC (@totalcristiano) December 8, 2022
