Since I have no knowledge of this dude or where he came from I cannot say anything more than just that I am very skeptical of this rumor. I would think if we were actually using the international slots it would be on players with "more on their resume". I would rather take chances on players not selected in the 2022 Superdraft since there is a lot more data on them. I guess he is young. Or at least that's what his insta speaks. Not gonna lie I found it pretty funny https://www.instagram.com/maxmiherr/?hl=en Watch him prove me completely wrong and become the next Ronaldo or something
I suspect that the Quakes tell trialists that they are not to talk about it but agents and family members do it anyway.
Yeah for sure. Remember that Saul Sosa guy like where did he go? I remember he posted with a Quakes jersey and was supposed to be part of our first U-23 team (Guessing MLS Next Pro) and then when it spread his agent asked people to take the posts down and then he never posted anything since. That sucked because he seemed pretty decent and it seems like after the word spread the Quakes did not like that at all. Another Interesting RUMOR linking us to Saul Sosa from Levante UD #LaLigaSantander #Quakes74 https://t.co/qKhhYiTZPM— Favian Renkel (@FavianRenkel) September 11, 2021
That's because we are doing super tricky creative stuff, and we don't want anyone finding out and then copying us! Kinda like preseasons under Matias.
I wish we could get Ronald Cerritos Jr., he was invited by LA Galaxy, Inter Miami and Seattle Sounders for trials.
All 3 guys will be showcasing Yesterday and Today (December 6th & 7th) from 4-9PM, and they wish them luck. The full translation to English. "Congratulations to Ricardo Cuervas Capitaine, Roman Trujillo SIgala, Maxi Meir who was invited to the San Jose team to showcase his talent on December 6 & 7 in San Jose, CA from 4PM-9PM.
The Quakes looking through lower leagues (Brazil, Mexico, etc.) to find diamonds in the rough. I can't contain my excitement.
I bet this is coming from the new analytics department. Crunching numbers and finding players that might be overlooked by other teams.
https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/mls-free-agency-top-10-remaining-players-for-2023 All solid players I would love it if we can bring in
I agree, all 4 of these guys would give us upgrades at every spot on our backline. Alexander Callens, Matt Hedges, Aaron Long, Ronald Matarrita, I'd love to move Rodrigues and Nathan to the bench and start Hedges and Long.
Wouldn't be surprised if CL nabs one or two - that's kind of his wheelhouse - well-known MLS players. Question is can he make good intl acquisitions. Akapo and Trauco still TBD, and we'll see who else comes in for this season.
Question is do any players want to be part of this organization? If the Quakes are the only ones offering a contract, why yes they would be interested in coming to San Jose. But if other clubs are offering same amount (or something close) who would they pick (considering CA taxes and this organizations track record) ?
LAFC and the Galaxy don't seem to have problems attracting people, I think its just the fact no one wants to put their career on the line with our club. Asshole Owner, Asshole GM, Asshole Support Groups, Asshole Team, Asshole Fans, Asshole Kaitlyn... bunch of Assholes.
What’s the attraction for Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia? Solve that riddle and we might figure out the appeal of LA.
Cash... Money... 69... Money, Hoes, Cars, Clothes, Thats how all the nig*as roll. Blowin' Dope, on 24s...
I’ve never prescribed to the “players don’t want to come here” theory. I think past record is overblown. Do they care that much? I think the main thing would be knowing they’d get along with the coach and would get playing time in their preferred position. Besides I’d rather have someone who feels like they can elevate the club as opposed to ride its coattails. Taxes are an issue as is cost of living but cost of living here is high for a reason and I’m not sure it doesn’t even out. Yes you can get a house for way cheaper in Columbus but when you go to live in your house, it’s actually in Columbus. And I’m sure Columbus has its charms but it’s not a major cosmopolitan metro area like the bay. I think the main reason we haven’t signed “big time / big ticket” players is that we haven’t pursued them, which would kind of do it. And I’m not expecting that to happen. Question is can we make some smart signings at a level below that.
