4-0 win against Japan. Morgan and Charles were excellent in the back four. Salmon and James made great impact from the bench.

Squad is looking strong. Jess Park with a late debut goal.

Very worrying news about Beth Mead from last night. Fingers crossed it’s nit an ACL with only 8 months to the World Cup.

So many ACL injuries in women’s football. Frustrating but gives opportunities for others and I’ve been impressed by the options that have been given chances since the Euros.

There are studies into why and if things like training or match schedules could be adapted to reduce the risk. But I agree that her position is quite a deep one in terms of the talent available.

"New plans will also make academies more accessible in the hope of game becoming more reflective of England’s wider society"

Doesn't it already reflect England's demographics more closely than the men's team does?

It was expected but Lauren James adds a different dimension to the England team. That level of dribbling and take on ability was lacking in the previous squad.

Squad looks very strong. Full backs still the problem positions. Too many CB’s being played in those roles for my liking.

We're the worlds best womens football team and the favourites for the world cup.

Our depth looks excellent. Would like us more cohesive in midfield and want a genuine no 2 to Walsh plus some new fullbacks would be useful. But our wing options and up front are a farce.

We're also a joy to watch.

Lauren James won player of the match, young player of the tournament and player of the tournament last night. To be fair there were no elite sides in the competition but she could be a real superstar for years to come.
