You know what I find disappointing? Seen headlines saying Cristiano Ronaldo walked off last night without acknowledging the Portugal fans which is not true. He didn’t celebrate with the rest of the players as he didn’t want to take their glory. He is for me a 🐐 pic.twitter.com/TlRgy3lEZn— Frank Khalid OBE (@FrankKhalidUK) December 7, 2022
Why is this man always on his own. It's OK to be part of a team. Mama Mia. At the very least this guy is truly weird. Sometimes you don't need to be extra. Just line your ass up with the rest of the team and be a regular person.
Guy has completely fallen off a cliff and doesn't have the maturity to handle it, he is literally being ridiculed everywhere now, really sad and disappointing way to end such a glorious career.
What you absolutely need to see is the clip of Modric talking to the Croatian goalkeeper about motivation and confidence a year ago and you realize as small as this guy is, his character is that of a giant. Alaba said he is friendly with every single player but Modric is "a real brother". What a person. Truly special. I'm happy for those that are around him.
The last coach that tried to do exactly that, on a weekly basis is ridiculed by some here, as a know nothing coach, Ronaldo knows more about football than him, he's making Ronaldo a scapegoat just to display his power and on and on ...... it was bizarre to read when clearly the team is more fluid in attack when you have players who are more mobile, the best ever at it?....... Ronaldo of course, and anyone who is a fan of his should have been able to see what the coach was trying to achieve, even Ronaldo himself should see it, he was THE guy. Except the kids just aren't that super, some not at all, there's absolutely no comparison when it comes to Xavi, Iniesta and Puyol, with players like Gavi, Balde, and Garcia, they are not even in the same universe, i'll give Pedri a bit of a break although i consider him pretty mediocre without the ball as in i don't think he does enough on it to make up for how poor he is without it, they are many players who were the same, like say, Riquelme, not great off the ball, but with the ball at his feet he more than made up for that , Pedri isn't there yet IMHO.
Either it’s sarcasm or it’s sad how far one can go to twist reality for their favorite player instead of looking at it straight.
https://www.fifa.com/fifaplus/de/wa...5kx2xRj9YhwfsLtOYeWejr/6jFESBfPw7oV9vQbHUZeGG It's part of FIFAs documentary series about the captains. Minute 23:00 Again. Modric is a wonderful character. I can see why the club wants him to be around the team based on that.
All of these are cute. Still that team needed a legend with balls of steel to confront a hot on form Robben to save the day.
Brazil will dismantle this Argentina side if they meet in the semi finals. It’s not even a given that they get past Netherlands anyway.
Yeah. The problem is overrating the Barcelona part of the team and ignoring the crucial points in the final that can ruin the entire run in the tournament.
They axed the Madrid legend, Hierro without giving him a second chance. Basically gave him a world cup to scapegoat him out of spite. Fascinating how they found it insulting that Lopetegui announced his next job and was axed for it, while Lucho basically played the reverse uno Barca card and the RFEF looked the other way. Hypocrites.
LE has installed that Barca mentality into them. Spain did very little for 120 minutes. Their best chance probably came in the 120th minute. You got outplayed and outclassed. Go back home.
The hits keep on coming from the Ronaldo camp. This time having his partner / girlfriend doing his dirty work for him. No wonder she fit right in with the family. “While the 11 players sang the anthem all the targets placed on you. What a shame not to have been able to enjoy the best player in the world during the 90 minutes. The fans have not stopped claiming you and shouting your name. I hope that God and your dear friend Fernando continue hand in hand and make us enjoy one more night.”
Enrique's Spain team is one dimensional beyond belief. Asensio, Ferran, Olmo, Sarabia and Fati are literally the same player cloned 5 times. All "versatile" wingers that can supposedly play anywhere across the front 3, yet they don't excel in any position. Not a single one of them has ever beaten a fullback 1v1. Also the fact that they have some of the biggest meakminded pussies out there. Alba, Busquets, Eric, Asensio and Morata
I get the guy's frustration. Portugal have a chance at the WC title for once in his playing career (maybe 2006 they had a shot too) and he is on the wrong side 35. But man ... you don't undermine the team's chances by publicly creating drama.
Ronaldo's biggest problem is the fact that he genuinely believes he's still the best player in the world. Like he genuinely, at the age of 38, with 100% certainty, without a shadow of doubt in his mind, believes that he's the best player in the world. But there is a gigantic gap between what he currently is and what he thinks he is, in his mind. All of his recent antics and outbursts originate from here. Idk how hard it is for him to accept and embrace mentor role, but this is the only way for him to have a graceful exit. Portugal aren't a shit show as Man Utd, they're genuine contenders. Stirring shit up and unsettling your national team on a World Cup run is embarrasing beyond belief
