I hope bulks up and stays clear of injuries. I also hope he continues to play as a CF and isn't utilized as a RW/LW.

I actually wanted your opinion on his progression with City+Arsenal from 20/21onwards and his performances for the Selecão.

With the NT he hit the ground running in 2016 pre move to Man City. He surprised all starting well at Man City as well. But I don't think he has evolved much since his move to Europe. So it was impressive he could can hang in EPL / Europe from the start ... but less impressive that he hasn't gotten really better. With the NT he has regressed but that can be due to tactics and us not using strikers as the focus of the attack.

I wonder how tall Endrick would be once he arrives. Hope he at least reaches six foot so we have an aerial threat at CF.

Yeah I hope he still has a growth spurt in him. I haven't spoken on this but his height makes me cautious.

He can finish though. Halaand type magic

Don't misunderstand me, but something about this feels dirty.

The 58ME QSG reportedly offered seems like something they've planted to save face given Endrick has chosen RM. Now they can go around saying we "outbid" them because they didn't want to go higher but we all know 2ME is money they wipe their toilet seats with. Don't be so naive @boeder

We should be cautious regardless, he passes the eye test right now, but given his age it is hard to know how this goes

if true, it is very good news, some raw talent is valued at around 80m, but this guy has some proven performance in brazil, and I am sure that 60M is fine and very young

We paid 45 ME for Vini in 2016 so 60 ME in 2022 feels like natural inflation. Saw someone saying PSG made us overpay so that's a W for them. His buyout was 60 ME and Chelsea also tried to convince him using Thiago Silva. Endrick was gonna cost 60 ME wherever he went. Barca offered 30 ME for Vini and Florentino blew them out of water offering 45 ME (his buyout was 30 ME then actually). PSG didn't make us do shit compared to that.

And I am laughing if any club offers 150 ME for Vini now in a market Antony with average stats in Dutch League goes for 100 ME. That even made 160 ME for Coutinho made look somewhat sane. We are dealing in a market where promoted PL teams like Nottingham Palace can spend 45 ME on players like Morgan Gibbs. 60 ME for getting an elite talent early is a gamble we should be comfortable taking.

England was going to be the natural choice. Still think City are favorites especially if Pool ends in in Europa League. Haaland will also try to convince him.

I understand that this is the business now but I don't really like it. Hope this kid is gold, but the public haggling around all players is making football look like a video game.

I actually don't get why any club would bid over the release clause. It's not as if the selling club could legally refuse a buyout bid as long as the player agrees to terms.

Depends on how the buyout clause is presented.

Remember: Arsenal almost signed Luis Suarez but didn't because they didn't know there was a buyout clause they could legally active. They actually put in a regular bid above that and were turned down. That was during Arsene Wegner's time and considered a ridiculous mishap on their part in the institutional aspect of the club.

Sometimes the agent gets less if not none of the cut from the buyout clause so you often bypass it to grease the wheel so to speak.

Because Vini was only 16. He had to stay in Brazil for 2 more years and Flamengo had that leverage. Also Vini always maintained he'd only agree to join a club that satisfies Flamengo's demands as he was grateful for everything they did for him. RM and Vini agreed to increase the buyout from 30 ME to 45 ME after Flamengo rejected Barca's 30 ME offer.

Neymar camp screwed Santos as they only got 17 ME for his transfer and Santos had taken Neymar to court. So RM, Vini and Flamengo didn't want a bitter transfer. Santos even praised RM and indirectly shaded Barca when we signed Rodrygo for the fee they wanted.

I’m not worried for some reason. This kid looks to be better than the other Brazilian super talents at that age.

    Good business imo

I have no clue about the player but these third party actors on twitter are getting on my nerves. Mostly because they are tools of the business. They're not digging up anything they are not supposed to. They get their info and their little cash in hand and are useful idiots for agents and clubs.

I can't for the life of me comprehend how everyone is fine with a 70 million for an unproven teenager who will start delivering goods in 3-4 years at best (and never at worst), but a 100 million for Osimhen who is a goalscorer par excellence with no weaknesses and at the cusp of his prime, is 'too much' and a 'risk'.

Especially when its common knowledge that we need an elite striker now, not later, because Benzema is too old to still carry the load by himself.

And even more so when dealing with these Brazilian clubs involves shady practices with taxes, brokers and what not with zero transparency.

    Just weird.
