Is it a loan with an option to buy or just nothing?

It doesn’t seem like it’s decided yet, but the Italian journalist that was reporting it’s done said there was an obligation to buy.

Yea, I've seen that, but why loan now and obligation to buy later? I thought it means that if they decide to buy the price is preset. And Brasilians say it's never happened. Strange story.

    We know Italians love “accounting.”

Thats probably the reason. They like to suspend payments of players. This has become common in football where teams try to wait as long as they can to pay for the players they purchase.

Rather amazed he hasn't had the passport for years. It takes time (though apparently it can be sped, like so many things in life, with the application of effort and money) and it behooves those of you with the inclination to acquire one to just get started on it even before you think you need it. Some parts of the paperwork take a while and can't always easily be accelerated.

I like that he's getting interest. I hope he doesn't move yet. He's in a good place to continue developing.

Bellingham and musah is a potentially nasty combo at Liverpool

He is, but Valencia could use the money..................

Huge debts and financial issues, like much of La Liga.

They've been years without European soccer, and are only mid-table this season as well. So Euro money unlikely for next year too.

I agree. I'm not watching second division games of Italy and the team is in the relegation zone, but is it possible he's one of the few thats playing well? It's possible, but when you look at that he doesn't start every game for a team in the relegation zone, it seems a little unlikely to me that he's excelling.

Tessmann's such a fascinating player to me. You could see anything happening from him kind of hovering around the "good, but outside the core of the MNT pool" level to being a pool-changing player. We might not even know until the cycle after 2026.

Well, he's still fairly young, and he's still 6'4" with surprising athleticism, so he doesn't have to be *that* good to be interesting as a raffle ticket.

And to be clear, he is doing some pretty wild stuff. Per Fotmob, he's got 37 passes into the final third over the past four games (all starts)... by contrast (at a completely different level, obviously) someone like Luka Modric has 40 so far during the World Cup (i.e., 5 games).

Obviously this is very, very small sample size theater, but sometimes when young players figure it out, it's like the proverbial light switch turning on. Given Tessmann's age and athletic qualities, probably no surprise even a small run of excellent form has bigger-time teams intrigued.
