Crouch sometimes did his robot dance. And it was okay for an European or I should say Anglo-Saxon to do it.
To be fair, Roy Keane probably found that stupid as well. He doesn't seem like the guy who's a hypocrite. He is the type of guy that finds fighting in a bar and losing some teeth normal and dancing abnormal.
Brazil has been the, by far, most fun to watch team in this world cup. An absolute pleasure to watch.
Agreed. They gel very well and are dangerous all over the attacking third. Glad to see Casemiro take part in this beauty.
Once I saw this Brazil video I knew it was over. Their vibes are unmatched pic.twitter.com/MiSyciaCPN— Janty (@CFC_Janty) December 5, 2022
You answered yourself. “Sometimes” is different from doing all the times, especially against the minnows.
Minnows or not, this is still the R16 of the WC. Brazilians dance in every game (friendly, qualifier, CA or WC) regardless of the opponent class. I doubt Roy Keane would open his mouth if it was a white West European team doing the dancing. What I truly find as "disrespectful" is the hypocrisy of the British media: promoting self-righteous neo-colonialist propaganda and acting as paragons of virtue and justice while importing 40% of their natural gas from..Qatar.
If Brazil don’t win I’m actually going to be disappointed. I’m Brazilian in this WC. It just feels right that they win.
I love that they don't give a shit about what people like Roy Keane thinks. They also supported Vinicius when it mattered. Awesome.
Neuer should retire because of his bad performance as player and as captain. The gesture is just a stupid scapegoat.
I don't have the direct quotes, but Kimmich made an interesting point about what the expectations are from football players.
Brazil are not doing it to taunt the opponent, they are celebrating themselves and their culture. Brazil is a country with performance arts deeply embedded in their culture. I don't understand why we host tournaments but everybody has to change and uniform themselves. One country has to change their alcohol rules, one country has to stop dancing. And it's always the ones that constantly say how tolerant they are that seem to have a problem with everything.
Yea the dancing after vinis goal Seemed a little off but just cuz they did it so late lol like they celebrated and hugged and as everyone jogged back, they danced. they need to get the timing right like Colombia did in 2014
I personally am not a fan of the dancing but they are fully entitled to do it. Any celebration at all can be deemed to be disrespectful if you are thin-skinned enough. Running around and shouting “yes” after a goal could be taken to be disrespectful too. Presumably the only respectful way would be to apologise for the goal and commiserate the opponent.
Lol people are really bitching about Brazilian players dancing And okay I understand it if it's the Brits. They are miserable about everything. I grew up watching Ronaldinho dance. I'm glad these guys are bringing the dancing back and at the same time play the best football in this world cup.
But dancing after goals has been a thing after a while I don’t get why everyone is acting as if this is something new lol. Just because it’s Brazil? Trying to find something to complain about
That was my only problem with it. They did take too much time celebrating doing a couple of different things.
I think that’s why people don’t like it. I don’t remember Colombia getting criticism, instead love for their joy and happiness. The dancing here feels so forced cuz they celebrate the goal normally and then stop to dance after the moment has lost its peak. I think if it looks genuine, like a genuine moment of joy, people would respond better, but that’s just my view

From what I saw, Keane was criticizing more of the amount that was going on and Tite getting involved. I didn't like Tite getting involved either, but I think it was some sort of bet about scoring that he had with Richarlison. Probably done as an incentive. The team is also making a point out of these celebrations because of the Vin Jr. incident. It's on purpose.
