Just me of course. But the manager should stand out as the leader. The CEO on the pitch. Van Gaal looked the part, even the English manager. Who I dislike looked like the manager and delegated to his staff.
Beerholder representing the US of A, looked like the odd job man or waterboy sort of “I don’t care, do you?”

Most from CONCACAF came from Canadian teams.

ARG v AUS have past the 1/4 game mark without a goal. That’s when it gets harder to score. Liverpool seem to have trouble scoring on lessor teams past that mark.
Not that I think Argentina is a lessor team. :)

Matt Ryan with the blunder of the tourney.

1-0 you are still possibly in.

    2-0 - no chance.

And Australia get a wild deflection. 2-1.

amd have a glorious chance to get 2-2 - but it's deflected.

a scrum for the last 10 mins.

Dangerous times. Moments like this have sent favourites home.

    And that one was close.

    Why punctuation is important.

    Ausies Scent: blood.

As perfumes go, I’m sure it’d be as you’d expect.

I’ll open my piggy bank.

He gets some weight behind those shots.
Going back to my goalie days. Some guys could hit fast shots and you could catch them, within reach of course, fairly easily. Some guys like Mbape hit same speed shots that feel like lead in the ball. Heavy, if you’re not aware they’ll blast through your hands.

France rolls Poland - but man did Lloris try to give away the game. He's really dropped a level.

England will need him. Senegal is strong through the middle. Should be a good game.

Nice header Stones, as he closes his eyes and lets the ball hit his shoulder.
    Close for Senegal.

Senegal almost in a couple of times. If we’re not comfortably ahead at 70 minutes. It’s going to be “fun” we need a bit more direct play, we haven’t really attacked their goal yet.
