    Per wiki....

S.S. Cosmos is a Sanmarinese football club, based in Serravalle and founded in 1979. Cosmos currently plays in Girone A of Campionato Sammarinese di Calcio. The team's colors are green and yellow. The club is named after the New York Cosmos team.

Winner, winner ... SS Cosmos from San Marino. I believe this is one of two teams named after the Cosmos, the other is Jomo's Cosmos from South Africa.

Girone A? There's a Girone B in San Marino? The whole microstate only has a population of 33,600!

A lot of non league Italian citizens and/or players as well as former pros play in the San Marino league and they commute to games.

I recall when I lived in Italy, WC winner Aldair was playing for S.S. Murata.

He was a name player and everyone knew him but there were and are many others who play for fun or for under the table cash on the weekends.
