I know it for a fact, based on my dating past. One was even from a fundamentalist Mormon family - his dad had 3 wives and 24 kids.

There's an interesting scientific observation called the Fraternal Birth Order Effect: for every male fetus a woman carries, the chances of the next male son being gay increases 33%. The starting point is roughly a 3-6% chance for the first male (hard to be sure), so 33% of that would be a 1-2% greater chance for the second male, thereby being 4-8%. This has been shown to definitely be biological and not the result of upbringing through studies of brothers of the same mother raised together, brothers of the same mother raised apart, and brothers of different mothers raised together.

Therefore, when you have families with lots and lots of kids, as Mormons and Catholics often do/did - and those fundy Christians now do, you're more likely than not to get some gay ones.

On the bright side, the defense argument that it wasn't a hate crime because he was non-binary/LGBTQ+ took a hit. Porn-meth dad constantly refers to his murderous but thankfully non-gay son as "he".

I this week on Dutch tv saw an item with the parents and their little girl who survived the infamous cops waiting in the corridor school shooting this week a year ago.
My heart bleaded for the little one, who lost her best friend in that horror classroom, which left her traumatized.
Heart breaking is to hear her parents tell she always checks where exits are when they go somewhere and is monitoring her surroundings.
Kill the NRA.

As this applies to all ape/monkey like creatures, including us humans, it can't be upbringing unless monkeys/apes have religions too.
Interesting was that, I think it was in Madagaskar, where monkeys take left overs from tourists, including alcoholic beverages. It turned out about the same % as in human population were prone to become alcoholics.
