Brian Tyler Cohen understates who Tony Perkins is. He's not "a pastor". He is the president of the Family Research Council, a virulently anti-gay organization created by James Dobson of Focus on the Family that the SPLC considers a hate group (with good reason). He is also a former politician who was in the Louisiana House of Representatives. Naturally he is also a graduate of Liberty University.
