At this rate, the US are definitely going to give up another. The Dutch is rubbing their hands together and waiting for that counter.

@Burr are these the best centerbacks USA has, or is it the case of a coach being overly attached to certain players for whatever reason? Cuz these guys suck..

USA is fatigued and making dumb mistakes because they had to play 270+ minutes straight of white knuckle 0-0, 1-1, or 1-0 games. Need to find finishers so they aren't constantly in these situations

Shame Pulisic did not score that early chance. This Dutch team is a typical van Gaal side. Deadly dull and anti football.

Ream has been really good in England and in the WC until this game so I think he earned that spot, but Zimmerman is an MLS guy who while somewhat decent is clearly way in over his head at this level. That said the only real pedigreed CB is John Brooks but he's kind of regressed in Portugal lately. Probably the best passer out of the back but his brain farts in defending at times have been maddening

Their best hope is that some US military serviceman is stationed in Europe and starts a family there and stays in Europe. Because the US simply cannot produce enough top-level guys. They’re just a scrappy side filled with a bunch of prima-donnas.

Time for all the stupid takes about how USA is terrible at soccer, soccer sucks, and why can't the men dominate and beat teams that have been playing for a century the way the women destroy teams that have only played a couple decades

Given that MLS is relatively young, the money behind it and organization they may struggle still but it won't be for too long. They will catch up. They have coaches from all over at all levels and they already regularly have youngsters in European academies.

The Mexican fans say the same thing. Their domestic league is hurting the national team.

Dutch team: negative football, goals against the flow of the game, subpar players Dutch league level. It's inferior in every way to the 2014 version.

I don't think there will be an issue with owners. corruption, academy funding etc etc compared to Mexico. MX Liga has been around for far longer and it's not working. I fully expect the US to become a force in mens football.

Cowardly side. But they will try and suck you in and hit on the counter. US had a high line with 2 CBs without much pace. Berhalter's not that great a coach. Some embarrassing playacting from them as well.

I think Senegal could take it to England but we'll see.

All the prayer emojis. Would love to see England exit and think Senegal deserves a good run.
